Hi again to all, my question this time is PVP. I myself love PVP and played PVP in everquest 1. Im told there will be no PVP upon the start of EQ2 but does anyone know or can someone find out for me if there will be a PVP server or 2 in the future. My bet is yes there will be but it would be nice to hear from anyone who could confirm this for me. In my hummble opinion without PVP there is no true form of role-play, I mean you cant beat guild wars ,racial tension, all out brawls and racial wars just to mention a few. Then there is the backstabing, politics, and much spying to be had. Like I say to play a real roleplaying game and to live in a world of fantasy you must have Good vs Evil it will always be this way otherwise for me its just too boringimage

    My one concern about posts about pvp ... why do people think every single mmo have to have pvp to be fun .... like eq for starting is built for non-pvp ... type of play .... if u want play a game with pvp they are some games at there that are made for this type of play .... shadowbane doac atc .... we all know them no need to name them .... i really getting tires of this constant debate of game being bad because they contain no pvp ..... i've played alot of different kinds of mmo : eq daoc swg shadowbane ffXI ao uo etc .... each of these games had they up and downs ....i just wish we stop debating about pvp and trying to make every game out there pvp enable .....

    In Kunous VIP event write up, he quotes one of the devs saying that they are working on a pvp system that will be all new and never before. Now whether they have any of it coded, and working on their internal servers no one know's, but from what he said, it sounded like their would be pvp as some point. Other people here have older quotes from other devs saying there will never be pvp, and anyone looking for such will be summarily executed.

    Lol your a dude , I like your style. Anyway in regards to PVP Im sure there are plenty of players out there who would agree with me on what i was saying earlier. Its just an opinion and everyone no matter who and what they are entitled to em. So thanks again for the replyimage

    Hey, if you want PvP in the game just ask SOE for it. I'm sure if enough of their customers ask for it, they'll bend over backwards and pull out all the stops to accomodate them.

    How do you think they achieved their mythical reputation for putting the customer first?

    No PvP at launch as far as I've heard.

    I hope they only focus on PvE for now. The only PvP MMORPG I have liked is DAoC.  I like how I can PvP when I want and don't have to worry about getting jumped everytime I turn around.  Plus its never an even playing field.  Someone is either higher level then you or have better equipment. 

    If EQ2 comes out with an expansion with zones setup for PvP that would be great.  PvP server would also be nice for those that want it once classes are balanced for PvP.

    I get my PvP out of FPS like Battlefiled 1942.

    As Moorgard has stated, There has been no work being done to implement PvP at launch.  It may not even appear in the months following.  I got this info from an identical post over at the EQ2 Vault.
