Any Good DS Games?

Hi. Can anyone recommend any good DS games out there right now? So far I've played the following:

Ace Attorney (all four of the games)

Final Fantasy III

Mario Kart

Trauma Center

The World Ends with You

Cooking Mama

Resident Evil: Deadly Silence (way harder on the DS)

Puzzle Quest

Professor Layton and the Curious Village (or something like that)

What other good games can I play?

I've always liked the novelty games (lol @ Cooking Mama and Wario Ware), but I also like the action ones like The World Ends with You. Solving stuff's also fun (Phoenix Wright). In short, I play pretty much everything. lol What else are good?

    My favorites are:

Super Mario DS(The 64 version with a few changes)- Excellent conversion made even better with some awesome mini-games. I never got bored playing it all over again.

Mario Kart-You listed it, but it still is my absolute favorite Handheld Console game.

Advanced Wars: DS- The first AW game I ever played and a ton of fun. Great strategy and great sense of accomplishment.

Zelda(Phantom Hourglass)- I am currently playing through it in my spare time now. Great handheld game, pretty good innovation, but I am still not a giant fan of handheld Zelda Games. If you are, get this one.

Advanced Wars is turned based RTS. You get every kind of unit you would find in an RTS game, but the trick of it is that during your turn you can only move so many spaces depending on the type of unit and attack only one enemy unit per turn per unit. Infantry can capture buildings and such too.

Normally I am not a Turn-based RTS fan, but this one is well balanced and make for the best RTS experience you will find on a hand-held system. My only dislike is the anime-like story, characters, and diaglogue.

Also, there is a great map editor like those found in games like Age of Empires 2. Makes for great replay value after you finish the campaign.

    civ revolutions is pretty fun.

Hold on Snow Leopard, imma let you finish, but Windows had one of the best operating systems of all time.

If the Powerball lottery was like Lotro, nobody would win for 2 years, and then everyone in Nebraska would win on the same day.
And then Nebraska would get nerfed.-pinkwood lotro fourms

Nice. Is Advance Wars long, story-wise? I haven't been able to finish Puzzle Quest yet for the same reason. Anyway, it sounds good.

    What's Civ Revolution about?

    Thanks for the replies!

I just finished The World Ends with You, so I'm definitely going to try out some of the games you've suggested. I'll probably going to start with Advanced Wars.

    Any other games?

Try playing Super Princess Peach.  It's Super Mario Brothers on a DS using Peach! It's really cool I tell you.  XD

    You and what barbarian army?

    Man, you're missing out.

Both Advance Wars are pretty solid.  They're turn-based strategy games.  Personally, I like the second one better, but it's your call.  There are other good ones, too.  Pretty much all of the turn-based strategy games out for the DS now copied the Advance Wars formula, not that I mind.  Some of the clones are really fun, too.  The Age of Empires game on DS was surprisingly fun.  I liked it as much as Advance Wars.

I really liked Chocobo Tales, too.  That surprised me, since it's a pretty kid-friendly minigame game, not my style.  I'd say Chocobo Tales is the second-best of the five FF games on the DS.  As for the others, FFXII: Revenant wings is an option, but I think it's really shitty.  It seems cool at first, but you realize how shallow the gameplay is pretty quickly.  I personally hated the DS Crystal Chronicles.  I hated the GC one. also.  I got both because of the FF name and regretted it each time.  You might like it, who knows.  The FF4 remake for the DS is pretty nice, though.  Especially with the limited New Game+ options it offers.  Chonotrigger DS is coming soon, too.  That'll be awesome.

You didn't mention Zelda.  Phantom Hourglass is a pretty solid little title.  Also, if you've ever liked Harvest Moon, there are tons of HM titles on the DS, so pick whichever flavor you like.  The Rune Factory franchise is basically HM + some combat.

Hotel Dusk is basically your classic Japanese mystery adventure game on the DS (there have been a few of these) except with a film noir twist.  I've played it, it's pretty solid.  It tries hard to keep the film noir feel up.  The typically Japanese storyline absurdities pop up every so often, but that's to be expected.

As far as action RPG's on the DS go, Lunar Knights is probably the best one which isn't a first party Nintendo title.

And coming to those, we've seen quite a few solid Nintendo titles on the DS.  New Super Mario Bros.  Yoshi's Island DS.  Metroid.  Zelda, like I mentioned above.  Super Princess Peach is actually pretty good, if you can learn to look past some of its ridiculous elements and just approach it as a quirky but solid platformer.

A friend of mine has Zelda, so I'll just borrow his first to get a general idea on how the game works. Harvest Moon, I didn't really appreciate, because it gets a bit tedious at times. I'm also waiting for the Chrono Trigger DS version, that's gonna be great.

Does Hotel Dusk have an English version? I love mysteries, so I'll probably like this one.
