Looking for guild and no clue what realm.

Hi there my wife and I really love this game. We both have played many MMOs and DAOC was our favorite so far. We absolutely love WAR and have run into a problem. We have used PW and OB to pick the realm and classes we want to play. We however are finding we like literally every class we ve played on both sides:) That said were really in no preference to what realm we play and are looking for a semi casual , mature guild with hopefully some couples in the guild. We want to experience the game as it s meant to ie all aspects of the game, not just RVR all the time.

That said as were looking for a semi casual guild weve been known to play pretty hardcore at times then are gone for a few days due to RL things, ie we can t play 24/7. If theres any guilds out there looking for our type of player, let me know. Also we could care less if it s a huge guild we tend to enjoy smaller to medium guilds better anyways, not saying big are bad at all just seems smaller ones are alot more social.

Thanks for any replies in advance.

    Hello,

Nex Morbus is a Destruction based Regiment for those who are 21 years and older! Nex Morbus will focus on crushing the forces of Order under foot, while having a fun time doing it. Nex Morbus accepts all races and classes of Destruction. We pride ourselves on being fair, and showing no favortism towards anyone in the Regiment. Rank is earned, as is respect. Nex Morbus will be active in all aspects of end game content, PVP, and RVR.

In Nex Morbus, there will not be a predetermined amount of time someone is required to play in order to remain a member of the Regiment. This is a game, and we understand. However, when we reach end game content, those who play the most and have proven their worth will be taken on raids over those who do not play as much.

Nex Morbus is an adult themed guild. This means mature! Conversation will sometimes be of a mature nature, thus the reason for the age requirement. While conversation may sometimes be mature, this isnt a license to be vulgar, or use foul language every other sentence. However, we understand that during gameplay, the telling of jokes, etc... Foul language will sometimes be used. We like to keep some semblance of civility!

We also like to host drunken raids once in a while, where everyone picks their favorite swill, and we all drink, and run around crushing the skulls of our enemies! This tradition goes back a few years, and has been carried through various different MMORPG's. It is a fun tradition, and it will bring the Regiment together.

Waivers can be granted under special circumstances in regards to the age requirement. Examples include being the sibling or relative of an existing member. While we do grant waivers on a case by case basis, this does not guarantee that a person who does not meet the age requirement will be let in. This truly is case by case, and various things will be looked at before making a decision. Let me make this clear, the guild will not change its flavor, for anyone! Nex Morbus is what it is!

Lastly, if you intend to bring political correctness to Nex Morbus, go somewhere else. This definately isn't the place for those who get their feelings hurt to easily. Nor is it the place for those who get offended by everything. If fart jokes make you laugh, join up. If you can take people poking fun at you and others, this is the place for you. If you realize this is a game, and we are here to have fun, come this way.

We do have married folks in our Regiment as well.  Thank you for your time!

    Hi Soki,

Glad to hear you are enjoying WAR. I invite you to stop by our website and forums. We have around 5 or 6 husband/wife teams in the guild right now. We will probably grow bigger, but not huge. Most of our members have played DAoC and some before that.

If you are interested in a more grown up environment that wants to enjoy all parts of the game while playing with others like yourself, come have a look. We also don't use voice chat because most of our members don't like it. We are in open beta on the Caledon server, Order side.

    Cheers,

Just as an fyi, this is a copy and paste of a PM I've sent you.

That post looks as if I wrote it myself (minus the wife part...I R teh jealous).  Wait a minute. You're reading my mind aren't you? GET OUT OF MY HEAD! Seriously though....our guild was pretty much designed for people like us.

Why So Serious is comprised of people who were fairly hardcore gamers in our day (in WoW I was a GM/HWL/Gladiator as well as GM of a Naxx guild and raid leader for T6), but with real life catching up to us in the form of kids/wives/careers/exwives we've had to ratchet back our playing hours somewhat. We still try to maintain a certain level of skill while playing the game because really now...who likes to lose...but we are certainly much more laid back about it now. No worries that you'll ever hear me yelling "THAT'S A 50 DKP MINUS". Leeroy Jenkins on the other hand.....

As for our guild composition, we currently have around 25 or so active members and are looking to increase to around 50-60 in order to be able to field a full raid group most nights. The current average chronological age is somewhere around 35....important word in that sentence being chronological.  We do have a couple couples, and would certainly like to add a few more.  The ladies can hold their own, but they wouldn't mind having a few more to join in the rolling of their eyes at us during our testosterone induced smacktalking sessions.

We formed our guild on Chrace, so you may see us running around or doing group scenario runs (really wish you could sign up more than just 1 party to a match). Feel free to say hello to whoever you see....we're a friendly bunch.

Here's a standard guild "commercial" I post in order to give people a bit of an idea who we are:

Inevitable City deserves a better class of asskicking. And we're going to give it to them.

Mercy is the mark of great men...guess we're just good men...well, we're alright. We may not be the first guild to reach level cap, but we will be the last force standing on the battlefield. Our well coordinated relentless assaults will grind down even the most stalwart of defenses, leaving our enemies bloodied, beaten and demoralized. Because, let's be honest. What's more fun than slapping around some emo Choas, wannabe goth Dark Elves and Greenskins.

We are currently looking to expand our roster with mature gamers who are interested in growing our community and just plain having fun, mainly through the stomping, crushing and annihilating of the young Chaos punks who would burn our homes, despoil our lands, mess up our lawns, and just generally be a nuisance.

There is more information about the guild on our forums, but just to answer the most common questions:

    1. Do you have a website/vent?

    Yes and yes.

    2. What classes are you recruiting?

Presently....all. We're more interested in getting good people than class balance at this point. Please remember that healers and tanks are always in demand, though.

    3. What type of guild are you? What are your end game goals?

Anyone playing warhammer that isn't into PVP is in the wrong game. That said, however, I'm still personally interested in seeing all the game has to offer and will lead PVE raids should the interest be there. Might as well see all the content we're paying for in my opinion.

    4. What type of players are you recruiting? Hardcore.....casual?

I've never understood the assumption that hardcore and casual players can't coexist in a well structured guild. Personally, I used to be very hardcore gamer (60 hours a week), however my schedule doesn't permit that on a regular basis anymore. On the other hand, I'm not really happy if I can't at least be competitive with even the most dedicated players, so I still play more than a casual player would (say 20-40 hours a week). This guild will NOT be accepting people solely on the basis of their supposed talent level or playtime.

Good person with limited time >> jerk with alot of time on his hands.

    Hello,

I think the Oldliners would suit you perfectly (hint the name)

We range from 21 - 61 were a casual guild who understand that RL stuff does come first (sadly)

You also wouldn't be our only couple in our guild, we have quite a few actually, one couple met through our guild.
