    DESTRUCTION

    United States Hardcore RvR (PST)

<Paragon> was created specifically for Warhammer Online. We are a collection of hardcore gamers and their friends/family from many previous MMO titles. Some core members have been playing with each other for over ten years, and most recently have come from World of Warcraft and Age of Conan.

With over a decade of leadership experience, we strive to be the best on our server and the world. Inquire about our WowJutsu. Very selective and very elitist we make the necessary sacrifices to be the best; and require every new member to do the same. Our paramount mission is to be the best and promote an aura of excellence. We are professionals who will never settle for second best; and have many accolades under our belt to prove it, from Ulitma Online to Warhammer.

Hardcore experience is a must but if your someone who has had to carry the weight of others, now is your chance to be among peers who do not need to be spoon fed strats or encouraged to do what it takes to be prepared... we're veterans of the genre and only except members with similar experience.

Pledging starts now, put your applications in, interviews begin Sept 7th

    More about Paragon:

Many of us play easily more than 40+ hours a week in preceding MMO's, as we have a strong passion for gaming. Many of us probably spend at least 5-10 hours blogging or participating in some form of Meta-Game on top of that. Some players hate on hardcore gamers and hardcore gaming but we sacrifice a lot to be on the top... health included, especially on opening. Paragon indeed has its spectrum of members in the guild, as we have a long history and many friends / family that migrate with us, but our core must fulfill requirements and perform at an expected high level of play to remain core. Warhammer is not the first MMO for anyone in our guild, everyone has played at least 3 years of MMO's before WAR; even our casuals.

    Waaagh!

Hardcore people who are fanatic about the genre are who we are looking for, because we don't want to waste any time while we raid. We want people serious about content, serious about progression and serious about character development to apply and will not take anything less. A guilds raiding success is based on how productive your structured time is... two guilds spending the same amount of time on content can have two very different outcomes. We play seriously and are rewarded for it, it is a game, but during raids it's all business. It's business time!

I personally work in the Online Gaming space, and MMO Gaming has become my biggest hobby and is part of my occupation. So, I personally have spent the last 11 years in the genre, and log in easily 42+ hours a week, for the last 6 or 7 years. I attend E3 almost every year, except last year, and I went to PAX this year, yesterday, to speak to Paul Barnett myself, and I have my pics with him and video on our site for those interested. Im a genuine fan of the genre and the community subculture and want to be with hobbists who are just as passionate. Maybe I should've said,

    "Looking for Alpha Nerds"

We have yet to accept a single app yet from this site, and this is only one avenue among many paths we've taken for recruitment and we still need to see more apps from players that are like us and share the same enthusiasm for the game and genre. And, we dont accept applications... until we see people's in game performance. Oh and regarding our name, it's serious I guess but, we take ourselves seriously... my motto is,

    "It's not a hobby, it's a lifestyle"

The hunt for solid, hardcore members has begun but this is only a small step. Hope I've cleared some things up. Again, we're not trying to be anything we aren't but we're not looking to spoon feed folks, we want already trained and experienced raiders as we will not take the time to teach simple principles like: Pathing 101, Aggro Management 205, Healing Rotations 352, or Line of Sight 102 classes.

More about Paragon and our Application Process:

    What We Need

We are always looking for another skilled member so even if you class is not listed below please submit an application.

    Class Needs as of 9/4/08

    Black Orc - Open

    Chosen - Open

    Disciple of Khaine - Open

    Magus - Open

    Marauder - Open

    Shaman - Open

    Sorceress - Open

    Squig Herder - Open

    Witch Elf - Open

    Zealot - Open

    Requirements

We expect all members to meet our minimum requirements.

    Minimum Requirements:

    * Stable internet connection and a good computer. We need players that can PLAY this game in a raiding environment. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A SOLID CONNECTION AND A GOOD COMPUTER DO NOT BOTHER APPLYING.

    * Gear [To be added later]

    * Attendance. You must be able to give us a lifetime average of 87.5% attendance. That means you're missing on average one raid every two weeks. We run a tight roster and can't afford to recruit unreliable people. DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CAN'T COMMIT.

    Desired Traits:

    * Self-starter. You've read strategies, obtained consumables, and are ready to go every night for raids. You will communicate with the other healers or dps classes to coordinate fight-specific strategies. You must have the desire to constantly improve your play. you must be able to take constructive criticism so that you can improve your play. We want people who are good, but who are always striving to be better.

    * Dedication. You're here pretty much every night. If you have some weird life circumstances that may be interrupting your play time or will in the near future DON'T APPLY.

    * Reliability. This fits hand and hand with dedication. We need to be able to rely on you to be there on the tough nights when we're trying to beat new content or T4 keeps. We need to know you're not going to flake out and disappear for a week, or that you're going to leave an hour early from raids on a regular basis.

    * Skill. You need to able to adapt to changing situations and go above and beyond the basic assignment asked of you. You need to be able to think for yourself so that you can do your assigned job as well as help others. Twitch and fast reaction times are needed for you to do the job that will be required of you.

    * Personality. Paragon has a strong guild personality and you will need to fit in with us. This means that you can take a joke, have a good sense of humor, and can take criticism. Overly sensitive people will not fit in with us. You need to be able to take criticism when you make a mistake and you need to be able to let the criticism roll off without it stressing you out. Our raids are high energy environments.

    Application Process

The first step is to read about us. Make sure you have thoroughly read both this page and our Charter. KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING INTO. Do not waste our time by skipping over the vital information on this page. Do not waste our time by applying if you cannot commit to our requirements.

The second step is to submit an application. Fill our the application as completely as possible. Sending an application full of one-line answers is a good way to get it deleted very quickly. By recruiting you we are making a commitment to you, which means we want to know as much as we possibly can about you. We will not commit to someone who we don't know enough about.

If we like your application WE will contact YOU. MOST APPLICATIONS ARE DENIED. DO NOT EXPECT A RESPONSE. If you're not contacted within 3-5 days you've probably been denied. If we do like your application and are considering recruiting you, we will ask you to do a ventrilo interview. For this you will come and talk to us, usually 1-2 officers, for 15-45 minutes. For the interview we will usually go over some things from your application as well as making it CRYSTAL CLEAR what kind of commitment we expect from you. You will usually be contacted by the recruitment officer for the team we are considering recruiting for [Sanctume, Apac, Ungrates].

Next, we will make a final decision whether to invite you or not. At this point, if you are accepted, you will be tagged and put at trial status. You will stay at trial status for as long as it takes for us to decide whether you will fit or not, usually 2-4 weeks. You will most likely be in about half the raids, possibly more depending on our need. During this time we will pay very close attention to your attendance, your contribution on raids, and your personality.

    Loot

Paragon uses a Loot Council system to decide who gets what. Attendance, previous loot, seniority, and other factors are used when making decisions about loot. The purpose of this system is to help the guild progress while rewarding people for being reliable, dedicated, and skilled. That said, there is always plenty to go around for everyone.

    Raid Schedule and Attendance

Raid invites are started 30 minutes prior to raid start time. It is expected that anyone who can be on at invites start will be on. We raid on West Coast time. We raid from 6:00pm to 12:30am (pst) at the latest, with raids usually ending between 11:30pm and midnight. We raid four nights a week.

We expect all of our members to have 85%+ attendance. This means that on average, members will miss about one raid every two-three weeks. This is due to our very tight roster and our desire to have very reliable players who we can expect to be there almost every night.

Still looking, I'm really having fun with a shaman now. So I will play tank or healer on release.

I'm an older mature gamer (37) and I just don't have time to go to 2000 different guild sites to check them out, to find out they are either full, or have only a few members.

So if you are looking for a good player, who knows how to play, scenarios and tier 4 rvr, please let me know, looking for medium to large size guilds (> 30 active members).

From 6-10 central time I can talk on vent, from 10-12 I can only listen. Don't want to wake up the wife.

Hey there, if you want a fun guild to join you might to try us, Death By Snu-Snu.  I'm planning on having a Destro and an Order guild to have a good guild rivalry game going.  We're not sure what launch server we're going to be on, but I have early access, and thus will be creating the guild early.  For now we have the guild up and running on Kraka Drak, Open Beta server.  If you want to just meet some of our Order people you can login there and pm me, Unscathed.  And we'll either make a Destro version this week or wait till launch.

I've been a leader of previous successful guilds, one of which is still active on WoW.

Here is the recruitment post I made http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/199817

    Peace,

A Destruction based Regiment for those who are 21 years and older! Nex Morbus will focus on crushing the forces of Order under foot, while having a fun time doing it. Nex Morbus accepts all races and classes of Destruction. We pride ourselves on being fair, and showing no favortism towards anyone in the Regiment. Rank is earned, as is respect. Nex Morbus will be active in all aspects of end game content, PVP, and RVR.

In Nex Morbus, there will not be a predetermined amount of time someone is required to play in order to remain a member of the Regiment. This is a game, and we understand. However, when we reach end game content, those who play the most and have proven their worth will be taken on raids over those who do not play as much.

Nex Morbus is an adult themed guild. This means mature! Conversation will sometimes be of a mature nature, thus the reason for the age requirement. While conversation may sometimes be mature, this isnt a license to be vulgar, or use foul language every other sentence. However, we understand that during gameplay, the telling of jokes, etc... Foul language will sometimes be used. We like to keep some semblance of civility! And with that... Two flies are sitting on a piece of crap, one fly lifts his leg up and farts. The other fly looks at him and says, "DUDE!!! I'm trying to eat!!!"

We also like to host drunken raids once in a while, where everyone picks their favorite swill, and we all drink, and run around crushing the skulls of our enemies! This tradition goes back a few years, and has been carried through various different MMORPG's. It is a fun tradition, and it will bring the Regiment together.

Waivers can be granted under special circumstances in regards to the age requirement. Examples include being the sibling or relative of an existing member. While we do grant waivers on a case by case basis, this does not guarantee that a person who does not meet the age requirement will be let in. This truly is case by case, and various things will be looked at before making a decision. Let me make this clear, the guild will not change its flavor, for anyone! Nex Morbus is what it is!

Lastly, if you intend to bring political correctness to Nex Morbus, go somewhere else. This definately isn't the place for those who get their feelings hurt to easily. Nor is it the place for those who get offended by everything. If fart jokes make you laugh, join up. If you can take people poking fun at you and others, this is the place for you. If you realize this is a game, and we are here to have fun, come this way.
