need a trial version bug squisher

Your help plz with the 14 day trial d/l.  I have spent the weekend trying to get this devil to workimage

I have tried many things including the suggestions in the other discussions on trial version problems, to no avail.

When I attempt to run the ac2trial.exe download, I get a flash of the cursor change to the hourglass and then nothingimage.   I am working behind an ISP firewall. port forwarding at my router has been set-up per Turbine port configuration requirements (I think I have it correct anyway).

Is it necessary to use some special sequence or must one be logged in to .net passport, or whatever?

At this point any help is appreciated.image

    This is probably a bit late but try downloading the installer straight from the official site.  I had the same problem when I downloaded the trial off MMORPG.COM ac2's page.

    I think after you get the trial d/l there is a 40 and an 80MB patch to bring the client up to date.

    I'm havin this same problem, and i dont really understand what you guys are talking about. Do i have to download an installer seperately ?

    No, just download the trial from a reliable source. I got mine from fileplanet, worked without problems. :)

    Oh and I think you need to have a .NET password for the trial too. Not sure though, I think I already had one, but it's no big deal, as they are free. ;) Just one of the little "presents" MS left in the game. ;)
