    I thought you were suppose to be allowed to buff and heal people. Just that you couldn't do it to people while they were already locked into combat. Also you have to have enought concentration points to maintain the buff you cast on someone and can't harm the monster they are fighting. So if your grouped and aren't in a fight and the person you heal isn't in a fight, makes sense that you should be able to heal them or buff them.

    Does it say if either party was in battle?

    You still can only buff those you're grouped with. You can use you Priest line direct heals like minor heal, and only on people not engaged in combat. No wards, no HoTs.

    Gonna hop on my shaman just to double check, but I'm pretty sure healing was the only thing they changed.

    Edit: After logging my Shaman, and trying to cast Spirit of the Wolf on a random nearby player, I got the Player not grouped message.
