Love how they keep spewing the usual BS, blah blah blah we know about it, we're looking into it. It would take someone all of 5 minutes to login and run out and "check on this" so obviously they aren't doing a damn thing about it aside from closing threads, posts, and banning people because of it. That is some excellent customer service right there. Wonder if Funcom will come get this thread locked here as well, most likely.
Thank God WAR is right around the corner and some decent single player games are out right now.

Who cares anymore anyway. This is a dead issue, FC screwed up and got hoodwinked by some liars, other guilds got pissed because the lying guild got a free city.
It was an interesting read...about a week ago. Let it go, I guarentee there will be many more mistakes made by FunCom in the future to latch onto. This one is dead.
The fact that they are white-washing the issue on their boards is not unexpected. After all, it's not like the AoC boards have been a bastion of freedom of expression since they "hired" their so-professional mods there.

I can see his frustration.
The GMs gave an entire guild a Tier 3 city (which normally takes a LONG TIME) to achieve based on someone lying to the GM. The GM never even checked the chat logs. He just said ok...poof. a full tier 3 city.
This gave that guild a major advantage over everyone else in the game as they are now the only ones who can make the best weapons, armors, etc and then sell them at inflated prices because their is no one to compete against them (as it takes about 25 to 35 thousand gold to complete a tier 3 city).

I can def understand why people are pissed about this. A word to the wise tho. If a thread like this offends you, don't read it. The title is obvious enough that it isn't a "funcom is cool" post

You need to reread the thread. His main contention is a GM gave a guild an entire tier 3 city for free based on an accusation without proof.
I can understand you being a ffanatical to this game but anyone can see this wasn't right.

This is old news. If you had looked on this forum you would have seen that its already 2 posts about this issue. Also many rumors around it. I have not seen proof of t3 city given away(other than player statning it.) If you read the actual posts you will se that they got their guild back with the city. If it was t3 or t1 I dont know.
Funcom have stated that they are looking into it. Nothing more we can hope for tbh.

Jesus crust on a pogo stick, you guys seriously can’t read. I did play, beta through launch, what I said was, I canceled.
I loose faith in the posters here constantly. I'm not defending anything, but ill point out stupidity when i see it. You Both need to read peoples posts, before making some shit up to try and flame someone with.

While I dont what Jesus Crust on a pogo stick is, I do know that your response Mr Bloodworth, well quite right on fails to mention one singular point and that is :
WHO FRIKKING CARES - this game has no seige capabilities and who would want to engage in anything like this in this crash prone, 35% of your GPU using, lame excuse for spending 50 million to pay obviously incompetent peoples salaries for 5 years GAME?

Go do a youtube search for "Age of Conan Sieging" look at all the ones posted within the past 2 weeks, some are sped up on purpose because of the length they take others are normal speed. Make sure to watch in high quality though.
No crashes, smooth working features.
Everything in a siege from my experience is now fully working and fun. Might want to try it sometime and update your information.
Oh well - A guild got a free T3 city on dubious claims and FC will not touch on that again...
"Leading" guilds funded their cities by selling duped gear, guess what: FC have not touched that either...
It seems FC have next to no serverside logging or "sanity checks" for variables that can be manipulated clientside. (this = built in ingame cheat oppotunity)
PvP in AoC is a joke to me... I dont really care if 48 ppl can pvp in the same instance with only 2 disconnects if 20 of the players are playing with marked cards!
In its current state AoC is one sick puppy anti-cheat/security wise and it seems that FC has adopted Microsoft's former "security through obscurity" policy.
(Oh yes - I re-subbed because somehow I would like to see AoC succeed, but I guess I am spoiled by other games with a far more level PvP-playing field)
We dont need casuals in our games!!! Errm... Well we DO need casuals to fund and populate our games - But the games should be all about "hardcore" because: We dont need casuals in our games!!!

Sped up videos say nothing for the game's performance. Also, Im not denying that some people dont have problems with sieging but saying nobody does and your opinion is wrong is overgeneralizing. Ok, so it works for you, good for you. That does not mean that it works for everyone. And its not a "your computer sucks" sort of thing either. This game still has memory leak problems that pretty much forces you to have over 2 gigs of memory so it dosent use all 2 and crash.
Yeah funcom has some serious issues that, if not resolved soon, will result in more unemployment.
I dont feel bad if they gm's get laid off, they suck anyway. They hired a ton to deal with the high population in the 2nd week, then everyone left.
The good part is you dont have to wait for a petition anymore, as there is usually only 1 in front of you instead of 400.
