  • Case - Cooler Master Centrion 650 (6 120MM fans)

    Motherboard - Gigabyte X48-DS4

    CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Wolfdale 3.16GHz

    Heatsink - Stock

    Video Card -  VisionnTek 4870

    Ram - 4G's Mushkin DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)

Power Supply - Mushkin 580W Modular

    HDD - Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB 7200RPM

Please note that i have fixed the RAM since i took the picture.  A modular power supply is the best thing ever, helps keep your case so much clean by not having to have all the extra crap in their.  Having the power supply at the bottem of the case is so much nicer, but the wires dont have very much room if u run the behind the motherboard.  I use a stock heatsink for my CPU since i dont OC.  My video card runs at around 38C and eveything else is keep super cool with all these case fans, only down side is the humming.  All my wires are tired to my desk to keep it clean and orgnized.

O yeah and the Logitech G15 is the worest thing i ever bought for my PC, such a waste of money.  But the Microsoft Habu is the best mouse ive ever used.

I got rid of the second monitor to use with another system and because when I got my speakers it was too tight on the desk to fit. Standard 72"x30" table...

True for the most part. It definitely took some getting used to, as it's on a standard 30" deep desk, so I'm not all that far away from it while I'm playing games. It is very immersive though and if I can run a game in the native 1920x1080 resolution it looks awesome. Some FPS games give me motion sickness though, seriously. I literally cannot play Half-Life 2 for more than 30 minutes without getting nauseous from motion sickness. At first I didn't make the connection, but then after the third time I figured it out, lol. So now I try and sit back some and/or take breaks every half hour or so so I don't hurl on my expensive monitor...

Other than that I highly recommend it. Games on a 30"+ HDTV through the HDMI-DTV connection look spectacular. Anything much bigger than 40" would just be too much IMO for a PC monitor though. The cool thing is you can switch back and forth from cable TV to PC with a button push, plus with mine I can have Picture in Picture in PC mode so I can surf the internet during commercials and see when my show comes back on and switch back. It's nice having it all in one. The added bonus too is that I can play Blue Ray through my PC so I don't need an extra player.
