You put qty. 2 for the power supply and case.

Here are my recommendations because you will run into problems with that build.  1st, your motherboard cannot support your processor.  Alot of 780g's outright cannot utilize a 125w processor, that one can but only with alot of tweaking.  Here is what I would recommend as a processor and motherboard

    Foxconn AM2+ 790GX $124.99

This is a slightly more modern motherboard with an SB750 southbridge and an updated onboard video.  When on an all AMD system it will have a performance increase up to 5% while simultaneously reducing electricity.  Foxconn has also rescently been making good AMD boards.

    Athlon64 5000+ 2.6ghz $59.50

This processor costs about $40 less, and consumes 60w less at the cost of 0.4ghz.  However, its important to remember that the processor has become less and less dependant on the consumer PC.  A dual core with 64-bit above 2.0ghz is gonna last you sometime with technology.  The only real applications for heavy processors right now are in super-computing and servers.  Games are mostly video card and memory taxing, other consumer uses utilize little of your system resources.  Even in previously heavy processor fields like 3D rendering and simulation, GPUs have started to become more important.

    Price difference $6.51

Its also possible to get a good running Intel Based system for $12 over your current one with these parts.

    ASRock P43 $69.99

    Core2Duo E7200 65w $119.99

aside from the issue with the mobo and processor that is a pretty solid system, I'm running a 4850 atm and I love it.

I'm not quite sure how that's a constructive suggestion for the OP.

strongaxe- Are you on a budget?

Duo processor comeon, yah I know they are cheap, but right now "IS THE RIGHT TIME" to buy a Intel Quad core processor the 2.4 ghz is running for 185.00 at new egg, and with a little bit more juice you can easily run it at 3.00 GHZ with just fans, easily.  Imagine 4 CORES running each at 3.00 GHZ.     So, saying that you need Intel my friend, believe me. I know, I know you might be a loyal AMD fan, but I'm here to tell you Intel has left AMD in the dust.

On Video Cards you might consider NVidia the 8800 GTS 640 Overclocked edition is an excellent choice I have two of them on two computers and they run everything perfect.

Your power supply is 600 Watts thats good.  Get some good reviews on that memory, check out corsair. That case is great, and try to spend more than 79.00 on your MOBO, It is YOUR most important part in your build, IT is what  helps your computer last longer...by that I mean, You need a MOBO that will be compatible with Hardware 2 or 3 years down the road, try spending around 130 and up on it, the EVGA MOBOS are great look at the 750i and 780i..... USE tiger direct for some Video Reviews on MOBOS and Video Cards but BUY them at New egg, GOod luck my friend

I would not listen to people telling you to get another video card.  The only components on your build that aren't the best buy are your motherboard and processor.  I still don't know why you insist on using a 125w dual core processor.  If it was quad core then 125w would be fine.  Also read the reviews, that board is boarked.  Not to mention it has a kinda bad layout.

Also AMD is a fine choice if you are on a budget.  Blowing out of the water to some of these people is only a 6~10% performance difference at 20% the cost difference.

I would go for the intel 2,5 Ghz quad instead, and then cock it up to 3,2. The intel quad is still not that expansive and it gives you quite a nice boost. It is true that most games don't have support for it now but they are comming and an old dual core are cheap but will be old tec very soon. Unless youre going to play AoC, then get the 64 bits AMD.

Also the intel keeps a lot cooler than the AMD, my 2,4 is clocked to 3,0 and never ever been over 42 degrees celsius. However the 2,4 have a 1066 FSB and thats to slow, you need faster. It is the speed the processor speaks with the memorys.

I would go for a MSI or a A-bit motherboard (not the cheap A-Bit fatality cards, the japanese ones), the gigabyte have certain issues and MSI don't cost that much more. A-bits clocking tool is the simplest and one of the best on the market.

I do prefer Nvidias graphics cards, they cost a bit more and the hardware isn't really better but the drivers are, Nvidia do need less tuning for games. Those clocked 9600+ with 750 mhz processors are giving you a lot kick for the bucket. Oh, and if you are playing AoC, Radeon cards works a lot less good. If youre getting Radeon card anyways do get your drivers from Omegadrivers, they tweak the drivers so they work better.

Then I do prefer the Samsung screens before Acers, they just look a little bit better. Acer is not bad but not in Samsung class either.

*cough cough* nVidia drivers caused 37% of the performance issue on Windows Vista.  It also accounted for the scrapping of the full functionality of DX10 since AMD was the only one who could meet all the requirements set forth by Microsoft for DX10.  Then it was aptly renamed 10.1 due to the difference that nVidia still hasn't addressed.
