Last 2 times I posted this no 1 responded. I assume no one knows of a game that shares the following qualities or at least 3/5 of the qualities.

#1 100% free 2 play. By that I mean Free 2 play Free to thrive free 2 enjoy. Not just free 2 play but u need the cash shop once ur 40 to get to 50 to do the end game stuff which requires cash shop items. No Bull crap like that.  Make it possible to compete at the high end scales of the game while only using in game methods.  (I don't mind using a cash shop if the prices are super fair. I'm talking Requiem status, With like 10 bucks for 20% bonus exp and 20% bonus drop rates,  and a few other perks. Basically GAME HAS TO BE BEATABLE NOT JUST PLAYABLE BEATABLE without the cash shop.  (At the very least really fair cash shop prices if it makes you buy stuff)

#2 Decent graphics, Something that looks better than Cabal online for sure. Would love it if it looked like Sword of the new world or if possible better.

#3 limited grind based game play. Over 50% of the exp coming from questing, The quests are not all Kill X of Y mob. (Such as in Cabal ~.~)  real innovation and work put into the product, Some what of a story based game play would be ideal.

#4 A large community with tons of players, would like it if it was over 100,000 total players playing that game. I would like a game that even the starting areas were packed with people.

#5  Not one of the following games because iv tried them all and not liked any.  2 Moons 12 Sky Sword of the new world, Cabal online, Lost Chaos, Atlantica, Hero online, Maple story,  Shaiya online,  Rappelz Dungeon Runners.

Other games iv played that I dont like (I am looking for a Free 2 play game with the above features so these are just so that you guys know what iv already played and not liked)

 Sword of the new world

 Cabal online

Maple story

Shaiya online

Rappelz

Lost Chaos

Hero online

Dungeon Runners

2 Moons

12 sky

Atlantica

LoTRO

Lineage2

Phantasy star universe

Pirates of the Burning sea

EvE online

Hellgate London

MMO games I like own and still play

Requiem (only free 2 play i still touch due mostly to fair cash shop prices and good graphics)

FFXI - Since 2004

WoW - played it loved it, Already quit it.

Guild wars - played it loved it..in the process of quitting.

So remember guys a Game with at least 3 of the above qualities Free 2 play being the most important of them by far.  Lets see if 1 of you can figure one out this time this is the 3rd time I make similar post hope I can get at least 1 reply this time :D

I think you would like Perfect world since the cash shop really isnt needed at all. but it is helpfull for high lvl crafting and such. lots of people play it. gfx are pretty good for F2P also.

There is no such game. The entire idea of "free" to play games is that they are free to play NOW but you should expect to pay money at some point. If you want a free game, MMOs are not the place to look.

I will probably have to agree, out of what you are looking for Perfect World is one of the only games that will come close. There is a cash shop, but from what I remember most of it is cosmetic stuff like costumes or makeup, etc and is not required to advance or be successfully competitive in the game.

It is very hard to run a purely free MMO. Servers and Employees cost money so you've got to have some kind of income, hence people adding optional cash shops and other microtransaction business models. A lot of games are starting to look into advertising inside games as well as a way to reduce consumer cost, (Anarchy Online was one of the first to do this years ago and open up their "froob" accounts) so maybe we can hope to see a purely free MMO soon.

I figured as much and yeah perfect world is a total rip off after level 30 or so you need to spend around 40 dollars a month just to be able to play and keep your sanity.

  • gan3fgan3f Member UncommonPosts: 274

this is not the old perfect world btw its the international one.. alot of tweeks i have heard its alot easier to lvl in endgame. people were getting 1-40 in a couple days no cashshop soooooooo idunno cant tell ya just from what i heard.

  • Calintz333Calintz333 Member UncommonPosts: 1,193

Thats the problem...have you seen the international ones cash shop its X3 the cost of the old one, Hell I might even check out the old one after I saw the prices, I did the CB for Perfect world international, I personally loved the game but the GMs think of their players as if they live in solid gold houses. X3 times the MY prices? No thanks, I may try to MY version though..prices are not as bad.

Don't think I have ever heard about one....private servers? You will lose in the community criteria tho :(

There's a reason for paying for games. It takes work to make a game and if a game is created and totally free it wouldn't last long since upkeep isn't free, people need to be paid for the work they put into the game or it's going to suck and many other things. If you want a free game i suggest playing a bored game tbh. My opinion but trying to find a free game without a monthly or cash shop option is ignorant.

Loading going into instance for example. They could make it go to an advertisement for 5 seconds then ou enter the instance.

    Guild Wars.

You have to BUY the box. And there IS a cash shop - but as you DONT ever need the cash shop to complete this game. All things in cash shop are acquirable ingame. The game itself is 100% free to play - no subscription fees.

Several years on the All time top 5 list on mmorpg.com. Fantastic graphics and music.

Huge playerbase - all players play on the "same" server (can meet up via zones anywhere).

There is no gaming grind (unless you are seeking cosmetic gear or faction points).

Use the trial and see for yourself. :)

Was there suppose to be a question to "get" in this somewhere?  Or is this just tireless fanboy advertising?

All were answers to OPs questions.

This guy nailed it, game companys don't just make games cause there bored. It also costs them money to make them as well. You gotta feed the fire they started to keep it going or it dies.

As for a suggestion Perfect World would be your best bet. IT IS the closest thing to what you stated you wanted. If you don't like it, then your in trouble lol.

    Enjoy : )

I really enjoyed the Atlantica Beta.  It was a fresh type of online mmorpg to me as I've never payed turn based.  I think the beta is over now since I cant get into the game or bring up the website.  I hope its just the devs getting ready to go live.  It has a robust crafting system and market with seperate auction.  I really like it you should give it a try at least.

  • Calintz333Calintz333 Member UncommonPosts: 1,193

/sigh im just going to stick to FFXI for now then. Bite the bullet and get Aion later. Pay 2 play games in the end are usually cheeper in the long term commitment than Free 2 plays

I just want to let you know it is up, must be a problem with your connection or something?  They are doing the road to open beta, if a certain number of people get recruited within a time frame the testers get goodies.  You're right this game is awesome, its something i've never really seen before.  I would say try again as I just logged on and all is well.

There is no such thing. Free to play games generally end up costing you more than pay to play, if you want to win that is.  If you need a new game now, try Age of Conan or Warhammer.
