can a character be moved?

When I get this game, a friend of mine wants to check it out. If he likes it and wants to buy it. will he be able to move his character to his own account? Anyone know?

If you get the collectors edition, you can give him your 10 day trial. If (or to be more realistic, when) he likes the game, he can carry on from there.

ok, thanks for the info. not sure if i'm going to get the collector's addition or not. my bf is buying it for me. depends on what he wants to buy. i played in the stress test and really loved the game. never played one before, it was really cool. didn't much like having to wait to connect but i guess that is the downfall of being in a *STRESS* test, huh? lol anyway...hope to see ya all in the game when it comes out.

What exactly do you mean by waiting to connect? Are you talking about the loading that takes place after you select your character and server to connect to a server? If so that will be the same at release as it was in the stress test, basically its connecting to the server and verifying/retrieving information related to your account at that point. If this is taking a very long time for you to do than I can only assume you might be on dial up? If so I'd probably recommend to try and upgrade your connection for release, the game is defiantly playable on dial up but your not going to get what you would on any high speed connection If you meant "connect" in some other context please let me know and I'll see if I can help, maybe fw issues etc, but not sure exactly what you mean yet.

I think she might mean waiting to connect when the servers went down. Those were harsh times... Harsh times indeed... lol

Hrrrmmm, what server were you on? The server I played on (Sargannon or something like that), went down twice that I can remember the whole time I was on it. I am guessing there were servers that might of been beyond intended capactiy which was teh purpose of the stress test anyway. If they optimized the servers from the results based off of the stress test I would expect around servers to be able to hold somewhere in the 4-5k area online at a time. Another thing to keep in mind is the client had issues that caused you to crash to desktop etc which are not server related, so maybe this is  some of the things you experienced? If so expect the release client to be much more stable and a little bit easier on your system.
