Question of race/class.

in Everquest II

I want to be a barbarion fighter>crusader>shadowknight, and also be allianced to Qeynos. Is this possible to be a good barbarian shadowknight since barbarians are a neatral race? Cause I want to be a damaging melee/magic user, and not a pally :(

    Hey dude a barbaian SK? Hmm Well I have to say Im a more traditional player when it comes to EQ & If i was going to be an SK I would be a Troll, Ogre or Darkelf, maybe even an Iskar but then again I have never liked barbarians when it comes to a class that use spells as well as melee, Barbs are great warriors and shaman but thats about it, anyhow barbs are dumb man all they do is grunt and eat bigs chunks of meat and say things like "I'll be back" image

    Ya I hated hybrids in EQI, but I thought I would give it a try in EQ2. Most games hybrids are really good, like FFXI dark knight were really good. My guild is a Qeynos guild, so I have to be also. I dont want to take the tests and quests to transfer alliances.

    Remember though, EQ2 doesn't equal EQ1. From what it seems, that stats really won't matter much other then very early on in the game. A Barb Shadowknight sounds interesting but you can't be a Shadowknight and be allied with Qeynos, that's Freeport class, same with Necro as I understand it. Barb is a neutral race so it can start in either place but Paladin is Qeynos based and Shadowknight is Freeport based. Though its kinda strange though, there are some classes that are both, like Wizard, Warlock, Warden, Fury, and a few others.

    it will not be possible to be good and a shadowknight, thats reserved for evil freeport. since you HAVE to do the betrayal quest before your final class change. so being in Qeynos and being a SK at the same time wont work. Paladins are cool though, if you want to cast and be like a fighter on the good side, thats about your best bet.

    why didnt i think of it before, why dont you be a barbarian troubador or dirge, the get to cast (songs) and you get to fight also. and you can choose either good or evil because they are for both, you wont be able to tank but, you will still have some cool abilities. its up to you of course, but there is an idea for you.

    Damn I was thinking about  being a Barb shadowknight too!  guess there might be more than one running around..
