Direct2Drive pre order questions..

in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning

Got a few questions about the direct2drive pre-orders.

 

I pre-ordererd WAR from D2D, played OB, I have my 2 codes, the open beta one which I used and the Early access one which I've used but am waiting for tuesday to actually play.

 

Now my question is do we get another code from D2D for the actual game release or does our Early access code count as that one?  If we are supposed to get a 3rd key once the game is released will D2D just email us it or will you have to go about another way of getting it.  Anyone know anything about this?

    I have the same question.

    I ordered from D2D and got two keys - one was the Open Beta key, the second was a Headtart key,

    I just updated my account with headstart key but I cannot access is the game. Is the Headstart key drom D2D for the !6th game start? Or for todays?

    To the OP, check your D2D e-mail. There is a headtart key

    Nevermind, answered my own question: From Mythic

    The “Head Start” program will allow gamers who preordered the Warhammer Online Collector’s Edition begin exploring the game on September 14, while those who ordered the Standard Edition must wait till September 16. The official launch day is not until September 18, when the servers will go public.

    Mythic also reminded us that all skills, abilities, weapons and rakings will carry over on the official

    Well I have my early access key and I'm not worried about that, but my question is does the early access key count as the actual game key? or will they email us a 3rd key once early access is over to count as the actual game key? in the end will standard edition pre-orders need 2 or 3 game keys? and if 3 how do we get the 3rd from D2D?

    Not 100% sure, but pretty sure!!  but I think the second Key - the headstart key is your final key that will acitvate the game and you do not need another mailed to you.

    I'm not positive, but I think we have to go back to the website and get a different key.

    Ah here I think I found it. 



    Note:You will need to return to this page on launch date (September 18th, 2008) to retrieve your retail key to be able to continue playing the game once it goes live.

     

    Edit: I found that on the page it takes you to when you click download from your account.

    Hey thanks a lot! can you show the link to that? I cant seem to find it!  thanks though, was wondering about that.

    There are Three Keys involved :

    *  Your Open-Beta access key.

    *  Your Head Start and Special Items Key

    *  Your Retail Box Key

    Without the Retail Box Key (even if from D2D), you will not be able to play past the 17th, when Head Start ends.

    On the official day of release you will need to log back into your d2d account and there will be a new game key available which will be your retail key.  I pre-ordered AoC on D2D and this is how they did it for that game so I can't imagine it will be different for WAR.  Just remember that they will not email you the new key, you have to go get it on release day.
