Note the time on it: shortly after midnight, EST
If we assume CE is given exactly 48 hours, it's definately midnight., or earlier since it would predate that news message.
Pretty sure it didn't actually come up then.. because there was an announcement saying it was supposed to be up at 1pm EST and I saw a news update saying they got the servers up an hour early which would be a 12pm... which is what I've heard most.
If they open SE headstart at the same time CE's headstart than it will be at 12pm EST (noon)

Well, there's some bit of confusion there because the European version comes up at a different time. The announcement you saw that said would be up at 1pm was likely this entry in regards to the European servers:

Seeing as Open Beta ended at around 3 am Sunday morning, you answer that one. CE started at noon on Sunday, not after midnight. SE will start tomorrow morning, and no time has been given. Lets quit making these topics and wait for the time to be posted on the herald.

I would say if you wake up at some time close to 12pm EST you won't have to wait long, so thats probobly a good time.
I guess we'll see. It seems strange to me they'd post a news message saying it's up at midnight when it wasn't, but then, it was strange that htey posted a message after that saying it'd be noon EST.
It was probably just saying that it was the day of the headstart rather than when it actually started.

Pre-order customers will be able to log into the game starting September 16th at 7am EDT. Characters created in the Head Start program will carry over when the servers officially go live on the Day of Reckoning - September 18th.

Yes, but how long has that been there? Did they just edit and add the time in? Because that SE preoder advertisement on the front page has been there a long time now.

The only reason CE started a little late was they were working the kinks out of a patch.
If CE pre-order people complain that their headstart over SE isn't a full 48 hours, I might just have to scream. SE already lost a day because of a few vocal whiners (originally SE was planned for the 15th, but no need to go over that whole thing again...)
As much as SE people are itching to get in, people are planning on 7AM Eastern. If they open at midnight unannounced, it would be mostly CE people that would flood into them before SE had a chance.

Ok, let's be careful with the name calling because making asshats look foolish happens to be a passtime of mine. Just because YOU say speculation is pointless and have figured out how to change the font color to red, does not in any way qualify you as an authority on the subject.
We can speculate all we like. The link you guys keep throwing around is not only old, it is in an obscure spot . You can't go to the herald and read it. You have to go through the pre-order info.
Im not saying you are wrong. My guess is that the 7 o-clock estimate is correct. That still in no way makes you responsible for telling people what they may or may not speculate about.

Are you stupid? The advertisement was posted a long time ago - and unless it was edited like I said - they have no way of knowing it will be ready to go then. That's like the stores that had a random release date listed before Warhammer actually announced it.
But like I said - there's a good chance that was added recently (past 2-3 days) so use some comprehension of what I'm trying to point out instead of calling people stupid. In the MORE RECENT announcement it says it will be up tomorrow "morning" so that doesn't mean 7am - but it could.
