talisman crafting should really create talismans with decent effects that do not expire to allow you to tailor your armour to suit your playstyle. at the moment is creates items with laughable stats (+1 int) that vanish after 8 hours or so. not worth the time and effort.
alchemy creates potions that do odd things, +86 armour for an hour, +10 willpower for ten minutes... not really worth it. there are however some worthwhile items, like a potion that does a dot on an enemy, worthwhile if you are using a lot of dots and want another one to stack up. ive not managed to create a healing potion yet, dunno what plant you need for that, but i dont think even those are going to be that useful given how popular healing careers are (especially the shaman).

Thats the whole point, i have talisman crafting and I absolutely love the concept, just the fact that there are no recipes, at the lower crafting levels unless you use really good ingredients the quality of the gems you create are "feeble" which means they will give you a stat but will break after a while, as you use better quality materials and level it up, the quality of your talismans increase until you can make them permanent, notice that the litle bar on the right that indicates the quality of the talisman is at 1-2% that means its a crap one.
Think the crafting system needs explaining and some people dont understand it properly.
well as we're all at low crafting levels and all we can make is temporary stuff, they really should boost it to be at least worthwhile to create a market so that talisman makers can recoup their losses if nothing else.
how many +2 strength talismans have you sold so far raven? if it were +15 for 8 hours, then you might sell a few.
*shrug* ill give it a while and see how it pans out at higher levels, if there are special effects like extra mastery points, or weapon procs or slowfall or whatever.
What if i want to skip training my crafting-skills now, and do this when reached max. lvl ... do i have to train in tier1-areas as a chicken or can i do it properly in tier4 ?
well you could just buy crafting materials from lowbies to start leveling your crafting skills. you also wont get chickened on a core server unless you go into the rvr lake. so you can wait till 40 to start crafting. hopefully there will have been some tweaks to it by that point as well

Hi,
got a question regarding crafting :
What if i want to skip training my crafting-skills now, and do this when reached max. lvl ... do i have to train in tier1-areas as a chicken or can i do it properly in tier4 ?
Cheers,

eh. fair enough i guess, i must admit that i assumed that nobody would buy them because i wouldnt (and the IC was deserted when i went there).
