Maybe Im in the minority but I'm dig'n this game now.

in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

I like the update, the new models are a little more appealing..I always loved the EQ1-ish type gameplay.  Now I just wish I had a laptop that could run it..well...an affordable laptop that can run it.

Current Specs on my machine are garbage but the game plays decent at medium settings:

P4 3.0 Ghz//2 Gig DDR//512 Meg nVidia 7600 lol

Anyone trying to play this on a laptop with decent results?

    What I enjoyed most from Vanguard:

    1. My Class (pre-corrections), Cleric
    2. Dungeons
      1. Quests for Dungeons
      2. Named Mobs
      3. Challenge
      4. Variety
      5. Depth
    3. World Feel
      1. Travel
      2. Boats

     

    What I think Vanguard needs:

    1. World Feel
      1. Fishing (planned)
      2. Make boats more useful (content that only be accessed by boats?  Or certain boats less likely to crash to access certain content?  Sea sickness?  Lost at sea?  Let's think outside of the box on this cool, innovative, and interesting feature)
    2. End-Game
      1. Epic Quests
      2. Group and Solo Content
    3. Character and Class Customization (not class trees but more like EQ 1's AA-points)

    There's a lot to like about this game and I return periodically.

     

    Crafting is particularly engaging.

    You're not in the minority .Thousands of people play Vanguard and many new people are joining .

    The game offers a brilliant PVE experience ...unmatched at the moment in the world of MMO's

    I just picked Vanguard up, and I enjoy playing, im a new player never had an account before. I haven't enjoyed playing an mmo as much since eq 1 launched. It's nice to see a game focusing on pve and just pve. Not everyone needs to pvp; I play Cod4, or other fps styled games for that.

    I'm glad they finally decided to offer a trial. I was always curious of this game. I played the trial island and now I'm hooked, subscribed and enjoying the game. It's just so vast and beautiful. I love the crafting, SOE games just have superior crafting to all other MMOs.



    I recommend this game to anyone that likes to PvE. There is only 1 FFA PvP server of 4 servers and if you're not from the US, playing on the FFA server is suicide since the ping can get upto 400ms (very bad). Hope that more players join so that eventually we may see a EU PvP server

    your not a minority ive played since beta and been on and off because you get bured out sometimes.  i love this game for one thing there is always something to do.  the FFA is great and you dont need to be from the US to get great ping.  one of the strongest guilds on the FFA is a euro guild.

    Anyone running this on a laptop and getting decent playability out of it? Playing this on the couch is my ultimate goal..let me know if you are and could you list your specs?
