Part of the problem is that the game's pacing is so darned fast! You are drawn in and kept so busy that I can see why they didn't bother to put in a "Sit" emote. When would you use it? There's no incentive to stop and smell the flowers in WAR.
Time will tell if the game's greatest strength turns out to be its downfall.

Well its bound to happen. Everyone will race to max level and complain theres no content or pvp is not as i thought it would be. Its only a matter of time before all the whiners come out of the wood work and complain about all the issues and lack of whatever. I for one am waiting this time around to see what everyone else thinks and says before i piss away another 50 bucks.
You havent played the game at all, how do you know this?
because there isnt a game thats launched where this hasnt happened. lol. mmo community = biggest whiners of any online community in exsistence.
You forgot several communities.
The Myspace Community.
The YouTube Community.
and the
The Livejournal Community.
The MMORPG Community comes in fourth closely followed by the Xbox Live Community.
I think they were referring to communities that matter.

6 High
9 medium
18 Low... compared to yesterday ... only 4 were low. Same trend open Beta. Some don't seem to play long ...
... a lot of people work on tuesdays? I dunno, just a hunch.
that and that all server caps were raised by another 1/3 with only 60k people prior to the headstart. You leave the same amount of water in one glass, and put it in an even bigger glass....course the % filled is going to decrease.

Actually you have the wrong mindset: WAR is completely dependant on PvP, therefore if you don't start playing at release, you may find yourself trying out the game in 6 months when low lvls are empty, and getting bored.
Even if you only stay 6 months, at least you'll have enjoyed the PvP at low lvl.

I beta tested end game RvR content in this game. I don't think there is anything to worry about on the RvR side of end game. I think the PvE end game may be a bit lacking.....or certainly lacking in the eyes of a WoW raider.

Good to know. Please post an update in a few months, so we can all know if you've decided to play or not. I, for one, may not be able to continue playing WAR until I find out.

Thats a fair enough statement after AOC I dont blame people for having that approach. But people just saying stuff that they dont know is dumb and a waste of a post. If someone has got to max level and is bored please post that. Dont speculate on WAR's future due to other games. If you get to level 25 and there is no conent till level 28 post that. So far I have seen nothing to suggest or support those claims.
If you believe that every game in the future will release as every game in the past has then you probably need to switch to XBOX or something as apparently you cant get over what previous MMO's have done. Things change and things can get better or worse but to doom something based on how other games have been you mine as well never play an MMO again.

PvE content is shitty and everyone who isn't in love with WAR will agree with me, but the PvP content is good enough to keep people play it for many months. However, Mythic SHOULD add more PvE Content.
Also, in before THIS IS A PVP GAME GO BACK TO WOW: yes it is, the PvP in it is fun but you can't make a PvE/PvP only MMORPG: even Blizzard tried it with WoW but the huge demand for PvP make them rethink about the decision.

You havent played the game at all, how do you know this?
I played open beta for 1 week. So yes I got my feet wet.
I dont see how you playing open beta for 1 week is relevant to the matter since Beta was capped at rank 20 and your claims are about end-game.
Did you even read this thread? I made no claims about this game all I stated was just like every other game that was hyped up after 2 weeks everyone is bashing the game and pissed about something. I have made no claims about this game I am purely stating facts about every other mmo that has come out in the last 2 years. I actually had fun leveling to 7 but that means crap.
I may be making an error here but if I had to guess you are most likely referencing the AoC phenomenon that went on several weeks after the "best launch in mmo history". And yes, in that regard you are exactly right about what happened on the forums. However, I would say that unfortunately many of the complaints regarding AoC were well founded and continue to remain so. If you're taking a wait and see approach then good for you. You are wise in waiting to spend your money before you know if the game has serious technical issues. However, if you're waiting for the community to validate whether the game is worth the money I think you may have set yourself up to fail.
Here's why: who's opinion carries more weight and who are you going to believe? Are you going to believe those that say the game is no fun because it's slow, the combat is boring, or the pvp sucks? Or are you going to believe those that say the pvp is fun, balanced, and requires patience over the WTFPWN ZOMG TEABAGZ type pvp? You see, both of those communities are already represented here and have been for some time. You're not going to get any new informaton that is going to make the decision for you imho, only more of the same of what is already contained herein. If I could give you some advice it would be this: buy the game and then play it with a purpose. What is that purpose you ask? How about I'm going to play Warhammer to enjoy making some new friends and spending some fun times with them. I guarantee you this, if you go into Warhammer with that mindset you will not be disappointed.

The PvE is atrocious so if anyone wants staying power with this game, they'd better love RvR...a lot. Personally, I think DAOC was a better game. The RvR is a blast for a week or two but after that it's just grinding doing the same scenario over and over and over again. If that's your cup of tea, then go for it. I'm not going to pick up the game myself, there's just not enough features outside of RvR scenario grinding that's fun.

You forget one important thing. Mythic is the developer. They have a history of making a very stable and well balanced game. Also a game with lots of content.
With all that said, Mythic certainly isn't perfect. Trials of Atlantis comes to mind. But overall, I think there'll be lots of reason to play once you cap your levels. The only exception to that that I can see is for the people that, as you say, race to lvl 40. There's going to be a little bit of a wait for those people to find large numbers of people to play with, or against. So, they'll probably start rolling a new toon in the mean time. That's my take on this thread.

The truth of the matter is that sooner or later there won't be anyone to play with at low lvl and that's when you need excellent PvE content to hide the shortcomings of lvling alone in order to reach high lvl pvp.

This is true. But WAR is also a game of Altaholics. People will make Alt after Alt after alt. Kinda like CoH. People will make the lowbie characters and play only PvP with them. When the character outlevels the low areas it will be deleted and remade. This is what people did in DAOC for the level 20 battlegrounds. People also do this to their twink characters i WoW.
Add on top of all of that, 20 classes; all with slight (but significant) differences. I have a feeling the low level areas will always be popping.

Way to make up your own mind. Relying on other people's opinions = fail.
yeah i went by everyone elses opinion and bought AoC...I lasted 2, maybe 3 weeks.
