Item/Character Selling Poll

I started this on the Maple Story post but now I am really curious and would like a bigger sample =)

People buy items/characters on ebay type sites.  Games in Korea are starting to offer cosmetic item sales.  What do you guys think about this? 

There are plenty of people that just dont have the time to do all the quests etc... I'm not saying that is good or bad but we all know people are out there that do buy items and characters.  They have item plantations for crying out loud.  A lot of the PC cafes generate a good chunk of their profits farming items.

    personally i think it defeats part of the purpose of playing the game, just goin and buying something on ebay like that is just like skipping to the end of the game without playing anything in between and allows people with money to blow to skip all the work that goes into making the character, so to me seems like it defeats the purpose of playing

    depends....if you want a character to help your lowbie chars out......go for it....but oyu got to remember...

    some people that sell chars....will completely destroy the chars factions with all towns and make the char completely KOs to all towns.....so you lose out......so jsut be careful..........

    and items....i jsut say go for it....becasue I would do it too...because I mean and item is an item....

    I've even been thinking about buying games just to make money off of them. Buy a new account, make it tight, sell it. Would basically get to play the game for free. Or if I decided to just do item harvesting, and sell items, then I get to make money from continueing playing the game.

    I don't do it, because I play the games for fun. If the game isn't fun and I need to buy something to enjoy the game, then the game isn't worth playing...

    But, I don't care if other people do it. I do not believe it harms the game.

    I'd never buy a character too many other better items in real life to buy - eww capitalist. The amount of cash being spent is crazy, would be good to see the figures?
