Prime play time for us, was about to buy the game, now hmmmm naa ill wait and see (what choice do I have) but I wont be playing a game with retarded downtime for servers
While it hits some us hard because of schedules, 5AM to 9AM EST is hardly prime time.

Once people realize that everything they ever wanted to know about these types of things are on the HERALD the easier life will become for all.
Digna, there is this little thing called the rest of the world
And for us that use the Oceania servers, this is indeed prime-time. Which makes me wonder why have Oceania servers if the downtime schedule is going to be the same as for US based servers. Also makes me wonder just where the Oceania servers as located.
So you won't be playing any AAA MMO then. Why are you here?
I believe the down time is in preparation for launch day tomorrow. I am in the EST and this is my usual playtime too (4-7am before work). Most games I have had to deal with servers resets about once a week during my "peak" playtime. I expect WAR will be much the same after a month or so of ironing out any last minute glitches.
If it's normal for them to take the servers down everyday at this time for hours on end, then I would probably cancel too.
The servers are in Melbourne.
The US and Australian client is the same so any changes have to be done at the same time. I guess this is only true for patching and not simple maintenance though.
