There are no zones, in the same way EQ has zones.... but.... there are different zoning situations. You zone from one continent to another via the boat/zeplin ride. You zone into Instanced Dungeons. You zone into the Gnome Tram.
The only loading screens i've seen are when an instant teleport happens, ie: hearthstone. Other than that, there is very little loading to take you out of the game.

Thanks everyone. I was wondering about this for a while, especially when people were comparing the graphics between WoW and EQ2. I personally like zones cause from my understanding by going with zones or seamless, the graphics have to setup a certain way. I think the requirements for graphics are higher since each zone is self-contained thus allowing for different graphics or more effects, etc. While seamless I think needs to be setup so things flow better, thus lessing the requirements for graphics. Maybe my reasoning is off on that but I think that needs to be considered next time both sides start arguing over which graphics are better but why they are the way they are or how the game world is setup.
You can walk from one village (call it a zone if you like) into another and the whole new atmosphere/graphical style and mood music will "segue" in. It's really impressively done.
If I gave the impression that the whole world looks the same wherever you go, that really couldn't be further from the truth.
The game loses nothing for not having loading times between zones.

No zones. I'm pretty sure it is all one big world.

Going in and out of Instanced Dungeons is about the only time youll see a Loading Screen in WoW (Probebly Housing as well - whenever that goes in).

Now with 57.3% more flames!
Yeah, it's all one seamless world, with the lighting, music and atmosphere of one town segueing into the next as you go from one place to another.
There are some real "WoW!!" moments as you enter certain cities and villages. I'll never forget the first time I entered Stormwind!

Thanks again

Actually there is no zoning on the Gnome tram, some people have actually jumped off of it.
