FFA PVP, like AoC?

Completely new player, just downladed and tried the 14-day trial. And having had the impression of this game as mostly a PvE game I was surprised to see a FFA PvP server, so now I'm wondering will it be like Age of Conan, with lvl 80's (or whatever max level Vanguard is) camping around respawn spots to gank and grief lvl 1's, scaring away any potential new player or is it more structured or organized, like the "fugitive system" that may or may not see the light of day in that other game? Just curious :)

Ok, after doing some more thinking I realized this game is not Age of Conan, so let's not do so much compare and contrasting. so what I'm wondering is if in this game it's FFA in the whole game-world (so to speak), like I go out and I risk getting ganked or griefed by higher lvl's if I'm not careful or find allies?

I think with this game that's ok, it's a big open game world isn't it (unlike you know what game), with not that many people playing (as compared to another you know what game), so there should be a nice feeling of danger, like "Hey, I could get jumped going out there but I might get lucky and manage to do my quest so maybe I'll chance it, maybe I'll find someone to team up with to defend me" etc

    Yawn So what exactly is the question? The idea is that the trial answers any questions you have. Incidentally I'm interested to know where you downloaded a 14 day trial.

    After level 7 you can be attacked by anyone. The whole world is your battleground, it`s vast. Their are no instances in Vanguard so you can also be attack while waiting for that spawn or in a dungeon.

    The FFA server is the lowest pop server but you can find PVP their as well. I think it could be a great server if more people join vanguard.

    Vanguard trail ISLAND is ready for down load..... get it here.

    Thanks to forums  forums.station.sony.com/vg/posts/list.m .station.sony.com/vg/posts/list.m as apparently IoD went live today not just for regular players, but also as a free trial for the general public. I was able to confirm that this does indeed give anyone access to the new, small download (under half hour) IoD-only 14 day trial.

    So far the official word is that the "public access" doesn't start till next week, but I can confirm for anyone who wants to give it a try now, that any one can get in.

    * Go here account.station.sony.com/reg/primaryRegistration!input.action account.station.sony.com/reg/primaryRegistration!input.action and register a new Station account (you don't need to wait for the verification email)

    * Download launcher.station.sony.com/

    * All of SoE's trial accounts including Vanguard will be an option. I logged into the island fine with this method.

    Isle Of Dawn..
