lol, im a tank and my son is a healer. he heal me while i tank. we always come in first and second or second and thrid. unless we get a bad roll. which is something i have a problem with, how do i come in second place and end up in 15th, they really need to tweak the dice rolls. like the top 7 get a roll from 500 -1000 and the lower 8-15 get a 1-600 dice roll.

You answered your own question! How fair would it be for everyone else if they never had a chance to get good rewards because of those 2-3 guys that always take first??
It doesn't sound like you NEVER get 1st or 2nd after rolls, so where's the problem?
Of the 5/6 PQs I've done I have come first everytime as a shammy. But then it generally falls on me to do the majority of the healing - other shamans seem to consider it an optional extra, rarely even healing themselves. So healing loads and maintaining DoT's on the target seems to guarentee one of the top positions as a shammy.
Dice rolls I have been relatively unlucky in... generally get in the 100-300 area - but then really high rolls seem quite rare.
well some people join in on the last boss and come in the top 3, how fair is that? at least we worked for the loot bag. so more balanced dice rolls would still give the top contributors what they deserve. i have score top ranking by just walking through a pq and hitting a guy on accident. not fair to those who spent 5 minutes clearing out the place.
Yeah ive had times where I contribute the most but get a crap roll and don't get any loot. But the longer you stay in the PQ the more of a chance you'll get some good loot. I usually get the loot I want my first few tries, im a shaman and Im always on the move doing DoT spells and healing my party. I love gobbo shamans.
Its all random. Ive done PQs where i come in first, and score 908 on roll and win. Ive come in 5th and rolled 1143 and won. Getting first just increases yours chances of winning. The roll is done on /random 1000 rules not out of 100, so there is a higher change of failure.

also it's not like im trying to horde the PQ's for loot. i am forced to do PQ multiple times to gain influence for my chapter rewards. i hope they fix this. i wish they would add more PQ's in the empty outer areas of the maps. doing the same PQ over and over kind of sucks, but not game breaking. i havent reached the higher tiers yet so it may offer more there?

Or someone coming into the WoW raid to just help with the last boss then getting the loot? Heh. Think of it as a WoW raid. You don't always get loot.

they keep the dice rolls all the same at first in case there are a few people who just wont leave the PQ and keep placing in the top 5. this allows other people to have somewhat of an equal shot at loot. I say somewhat because the top few players get a bonus on top of their roll which makes it more likely that they will get a higher roll than the people who didnt do as much. you might get unlucky but what Ive found from experience is that its a really good system and distributes the loot to a broad range of people.
yeah sometimes randomness is unfair but soemtimes i love it
last night i was doing some quest around a pq area and there was a small group(3 i think that were on the PQ)i walked by coming in the zone and hit a couple mobs, thrown a few heals to them, did my quest, and walked by and helped on the boss rolled a 987 and netted 1st prize with a nice blue chest in it!
Thank you Karma!

Most areas, starting with chapter 2, have at least 3 PQs. You just have to seek them out. Sometimes they are off the beaten path. This helps break up the "grinding" feel of staying in the first PQ you come to get all your INF points. I have also noticed that the loot increases in value in the outer PQs.
Two things that I've seen with PQs
First, the ToK tracks your medal placement (Gold, Silver, Bronze) and you get ToK unlocks. I got an unlock for 10 bronze finishes (this was during open beta).
Second, there's a persistance award as part of the roll now (it's a little blue icon on the PQ results board). The more you do the PQ without getting loot, the better your odds of getting the loot. I would speculate that this is something along the lines of the follows:
No persistance /roll 0 to 1000. 1 persistance /roll 100 to 1000. 2 persistance /roll 200 to 1000...so on and so forth until you win and reset persistance.

There's multiple PQ's once you get out of the First chapter of every Tier if you get tired of playing one and haven't won anything with the repeat bonus (you can't leave the pq area if you want this bonus, except for dying) go to another less populated PQ with a group.
Its completely fair that everyone who participates gets an equal roll, some people get bonus's some people don't. Thats just life its still far more fair and easier to win loot in a PQ then a typical dungeon / raid run.
thats great never noticed that.
So, we're complaining about the roll of a D100 by the computer?
