Curious to know - which game being the most returned to.

Just want to see how many people actually return to their favor game after leaving for new games.

For example-

I usually play 2 month then drop the game and return to the old games afterward after 1-2 years.

I did that for

SWG  - once - after 4 years

FFXI - 3 times every 1 year almost

Asheron's call - once

Daoc - twice

AO - once - after 2 years apart.

Wow- once - return for expansion and throw the game into garbage the next day.

Anyway, since i ran out of space for the poll, if you have OTHER game not listed Please post it up.

If you have more then 1 choice ..vote for the "most" return or "your most likely for another return"

I am not polling "free to play games" but with exception games that changed to "free to play"

Ragnarok online .... i am sure everyone play that too XD but i would consider it free to play because of "private server"

Huh never thought about it but I have yet to resubscribe to any MMOG, by time I quit I really have no desire to play the game ever again.

Don't you worry little buddy. You're dealing with a man of honor. However, honor requires a higher percentage of profit

Definitely, not for the games I didn't play for at least a couple months (EQ II, WoW, AC2), but for my favorites I kept coming back over and over. Planetside I came back to three times although thats a bit of a unique situation since its really the only MMOFPS out there. The other is EVE Online which I voted for in the poll, the game can be frustrating at times but I always come back. I actually just cancelled my accounts again but I'm sure I'll be back someday.

I am the same, if I like a game I'll keep playing it.

If I stop liking it then I won't play it again.

WoW probably has more subscribers leave and return each  month than most other games have subscribers.

As stated above when i quit a game, i quit it for good and never go back but sometimes i take a months?break in between games just to refresh myself

Since MMORPG isn't like Solo play game, these games does changes.

adding new contents and such. However, not many people just return for small contents, but many does for large content updates.

This also shows how much large contents updates does a game have as well.

    none

As long as i don't fall out with a game, I'll came back and play it again when it has more content.

If I overplay it, or fall out over nerfs or bust up unpleasently with a group of friends or have a billing dispute or get banned or hacked and not reinstated or something like that....then I am never coming back.

I tend to leave when the pace of new content dries up. Either i have done everything, or i have done so much that it takes days and weeks to progress my character or grind up stuff.

At that point I take a break for months.

I think I have returned to WoW 4 times now which is twice as many times as any other MMO. I expect to do so at least one more time before I'm done.

I've returned twice to CoH and am currently subscribed.  Most other games I am done with when I quit.  I'm no longer interested in games that have to be treated as a career.  I have a job that pays me, I don't need to pay a monthly fee for virtual one.

I was going to say that it depends on why I left the game to begin with,  but I can't because I've gone back to SWG more times then I'd like to admitt.

For the most part though,  I'm not one to jump ship just because a new game comes out, but if I lose interest or there is a change I don't like then I'll look for a new 'home'. Eventually if it was a decent game I'll go back and play for a bit to see whats changed and if anyone I know is still around. It's very much like going back to a neighborhood you used to live in and seeing how things have changed over time.

Besides SWG, which is my kryptonite, I've gone back to EQ2, Ryzom, City of Heroes, Vanguard (for a week) and I'm on again off again with private server  WOW.

    LotRO - 2
    EVE - 2
    CoH/CoV - 2
    Guild Wars - ~10

I grew bored of WoW during a period and tried the three first games, but I didn't really ever leave WoW then (thus it's not on the list). And then I quit WoW some months later and tried all games yet another time. Guild Wars I've returned to multiple times because it's free and I've grown bored of it previously.
