Question about Magus

in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning

Hi!

I am planning on buying WAR, but I am not sure which class should I be. I decided to go Destruction, and I would like being a caster.

Now my question is:

Is Magus a good ranged DPS and is he good in PvP? If not can you recommend me some other class? Maybe Sorcerrer?

    I could be wrong, but I think the Magus is more of a support caster.

    I'd say try sorcerer first and see how you get on.

    I am a ranged DPS player too.

    My advice for now would be to go as a socerer, i tried both out in beta and i found socerer much more fun and stronger then a magus....

    Though a magus does look very cool!

    Magus gets his goodies at higher levels and it becomes the best AoE class in the game(well, with some help from Mythic's patches).

    Magus is very powerful, but it's the mirror of the engineer.  It has a stationary pet which supplants its dps.
