Dissapointed with WAR :(

  1. Graphics:

  Are pretty good. Not top of the line but far from pixelated. you need a fairly powerful PC and graphics card for WAR but not as high end as most of the recent releases. You shouldn't be getting pixelated or bad graphics.

  Animations are also cut at distances to allow for large battles. For someone who has never done large scale RVR/PVP battles, it's impossible tfor them o grasp why this is necessary; but it is. Most people think their top of line PC can handle it. It won't.

  2. Sound:

  I'm not fond of the sounds in WAR but NPCs do have a variety of sounds and variable quotes they will spout. It shouldn't be just one phrase.

  3. RVR:

  Don't knock a game for having long queues. Remeber the other game had queues to log in as well as to BG and those used to take several hours.

  Are you playing on destruction? Currently destro is overpopulated vs Order. Order scenario queues are short. Instant to 1 minute max on the 4 servers I've been on. The ones typically complaining about high queue times are destro players. Again, this is destro being overpopoulated. That means there are going to be a lot of destro players waiting in lopng scenario queues while Order queus insta pop. This isn't a technical fault of WAR.

  4. Server Queue:

  Do you actually know how many people are actually playing now? You are assuming only a few people are interested in playing the game. At the moment, people are hammering at the servers and everyoone is trying to get into DESTRUCTION but getting queued. The population cap has been raised.

  5. Community:

  I know people come from WoW when they say things like this. They automatically want things handed to them. If you want people to talk to or hear people talking, you need to join a guild and an alliance. The alliance is a large collection of guilds and has its own alliance global chat.

  Alternatively you can join the Order channel or Destro channel. I'm willing to bet you didn't even make a cursory effort to talk to anyone. Most people will respond if you did. Most of the players are from WoW and those are chatty people. You're also not taking into account that fo rmany, this is their first time playing and WAR is a much more complex game than WoW is with many more feastures and things to do straight from level 1. It takes a while for people to learn what does what. Chatting will come later once people figure everything out.

  Conclussion:

  Although it sounds like your reasons are completely unfounded, I think you made the right decision to not continue subscribing. I wouldn't advocate someone who isn't at the least bit interested in delving into something to continue to do so. The game isn't for everyone. How long did you actually play?

  With all the screenshot, the graphic looked good.  When I first logged on, I was like " Did the vendor at EB Games give me the right box, why is so pixelated "? I looked at my box again and yeah it was warhammer online. Ok let's google it for a while. So now I turned on manually the AA and AF support (No option in-game). Ok is was better now, almost like the screenshot. But the real problem is why is everything moving like is made in .GIF animation? I mean everyting moving like it was limited. I am running it with a Nvidia 8800gtx. No, is not FPS problem.
  ....dunno what screen shots your looking at but I haven 8600 and it looks just like what we've seen if not better.  Just because you havean 8800 doesn't mean the rest of your system is any good btw.  If your running on fastest frame rate..try bumping it up.
  Sound:
  What can I say, I turned the sound off after doing my first PQ when that triad boss yelling the samething over and over again. Not random phrase but the same damn one.  Every NPC got one thing to say and repeat themself. So I played with no sound now on.
  I've never had this happen maybe it was just that particular PQ or maybe he was busted...honestly complaining because and NPC talks..Nitpick much?  The actual sound scape for the rest of the game especially the music is fantastic.
  RvR:
  Yeah RvR, that's what the game is all about right? The queue for khaine's embrace is 1h for every 15min play. I was like WTH, I am in a full server why the hell do I have to wait 1h to play a scenario. So nobody wanna PvP?  I am doing PVE all days killing unicorn. Yeah this time is not boar, it's the sweet unicorn.
  Your playing Scenarios..thats not the truth RvR its a side game for some quick PvP matches...why don't you get off your lazy toon's ass and go to the Open PvP zone with a warband.   Better yet Reach Tier 2 and go try seiging.   YOu waited an hour because either no one was playing on the otherside or all the Scenarios were full you know they don't spawn an infinite number of Scenario instances.  i'm on one of the fullest servers and I've never watied more than 20 mins...
  Server Queue:
  Is the cap rised yet? it took me 17min for queuing at 64/64 position after a random disconnect. I mean if it take so long for only 64 players to get in, the server cap must be really low.
  Yes lets complain that a server is actually busy on Launch day..imagine that... You know if your in queue the estimated time is only going by how long it might take if say alot of people are logging off.
  Community:
  None. I was feeling like playing a single role player game. Nobody's talking. The chat box? Empty all the time. Only the NPC spaming the chatbox . I was like wow people's talking. But no, it was the NPC saying the same thing, the same color as players do.
  I will be playing this game for my free month but I already unsubscribed my account.
  This game isn't as good as the hype made it look's like.
  

  
  
   

  Try joining a group...most people don't abuse the chat channel.  I'm constantly talking with my guild, group, people in scenarios *shrug* Warbands and even Pugs.  Guess everyone has a different expectation for chat..but honestly saying there's no community because people are talking about Chuck Norris is kinda retarded.

  Graphics: i would say the game has good graphics, not the best, and it dowsnt come at the expense of smooth gameplay.

  Sound: yeah they need to improve the sound in the game, not a game breaker, but i could be improved, i honestly havent seen many games get the sound right anyway.

  RvR: sometimes the queue does take a while, im usualy doing open field RvR while i wait, or a pve or pq quest.  There is so much to do while waiting for scenarios it really shouldnt be such a big deal.  My guess is that if there is a long line that most of those people who are waiting will be doing the open field RvR while they wait and its just as fun, if not more fun.

  Not sure about the server line, that would suck if they didnt tweak it to make sure everyone who is on the server can play.  My guess is that most servers are going to quickly fill with destruction as they seem to be the most popular.

  Community: if your a social person, you will have NO problems finding a group, finding a guild, finding a warband, or finding people to talk to.  Im glad the game is turing out this way where if you want to socialize you have to go out and do it, rather than having the game be one big chatroom the whole time.  I also see this game becoming a huge vent based game.

   

  All in all i love the people who tried the game for a few hours and decided they dont like it for all of these minor reasons.  The fact is when it comes to content, RvR, and overall action, i havent seen a single game come close.  Id rather complain about a lack of backround music and having graphics that are not 100% top of the line, than complain about having nothing to do, or getting bored with just pve grinding for gear.

  Also i would like to add that the lack of retarded conversation in game, and a lack of chatrooming it, is a sign that the players are too busy playing the game.  Try and be social and you wont have a problem finding the community.

  Actually I am not in a game hoper guild that move together from game to game.

  Asking someone in general channel and nobody with answer. How can you join a guild if you can't even get an answer with LF guild right or LFG?

  As I say with the AA and AF set manually from my nVidia panel, the graphic is not pixelated anymore. But I do need to google myself,(they should just put it in-game managed AA and AF effect). Just the animation lacking LIVE and SOUL.
  
  
  
  I have play for 5hours now, got my destro sorcerer to level 8, got bored of questing.

  As for the server queue, I know the whole "everybody wanna play at launch day" thing, but 66/64 queue shouldn't take 17min. I would understand a 250/250 queue but 64 is pretty low for 17min.

  So what you mean that if destruction is more then order and nothing gonna change I will have to wait 1h for each RvR scenario? Come on, they will always going to be one side more then another. The RvR is the selling point, but with 1h queue, I have to PVE which I am bored already.

  This is my point of view, why are you comparing player from wow? We are talking about War, why you need to put WoW in your opinion?
