No game is perfect upon release. It will get better in 6 months. Silly troll shouldn't try to run this game on the HP computer he bought at Walmart. He never even played past the first 20 minutes. This game is not like WOW, it is HARD!

It's still early in the morning for me, did I miss any of the standard fanboi responses?

The space stage is kinda hard. Everything else is pretty simple.

You have been playing too many shitty games and swallowing too much bullshit. Games are supposed to be good on release, not 6 months after, or have we forgoten that.

Holy jeebus that was hilarious. I love his reviews. But yes, spot on.Will Wright is now like Richard Garriot. Richard Garriot's reputation was based on UO. Then he introduced Tabula Rasa and now that reputation for creating a great game is down. Same with WW with Spore.

I think he was joking DesertFoxx.

And the review was pretty accurate.

If you are being sarcasti and I think you are, then I agree with you. I bought spore and played it. Its a piece of shit lol. Sorry. It just is. This game took how long to make?

It's the retarded cousin of Age of Empires and Civilization with a kissing cousin of Sims.

It's pretty bad, uneventful, short, and easy.

The only good thing about the game was creating your own buildings and the cell stage. Everything else was "WTF, this thing is spore...you got to be shitting me"

I agree, those guys were the shizzle back in the day of the Pentium 200s. Now Garriot thinks he's an uber asstronaut and I don't know what Will Wright is doing. I think we are in a sort of  "cruise control" situation with PC gaming. No real innovation or revolutions will be coming for a while. They usually come once every 10 years and everything for the years after that copy or slightly improve on the innovation.

Yea i hate these periods i remember the last one. It lasted about 18 months.

During such times i tend to play games like Galactic Civilisations and Defcom.

You mean (GASP) there are actually games out there that are not shitty games, and are good on release?

The guy was being sarcastic, *hands you a chill pill*.

I think the article was spot on as well. There are far to many bad game releases this year alone that I think it will make developers think twice about releasing another product early or broken.

Who let you in the VIP section?

I have never tried spore nor will I as I found The Sims about as exciting as watching paint dry and feel the last good game he made is the Sim City series (IMHO of course). But I do like Yahtzee's reviews and this one was just as entertaining as most. What I like most about him is even when he rips apart your favorite game you can't help but be entertained and even laugh a little. More reviewers should be like him.

And we once again show incest is just wrong on all levels.

Honestly, though. I have no idea what the hell they were trying to accomplish with Spore. But I'd love to have the dope they were smoking while they made it.

I was curious about Spore and so I looked up for some gameplay movies. First clips I found were races of dick monsters.

That's actually Spaore. Its a Greek porno movie made in the late 70s early 80s and has Marty Mantle and Evie Loongood in it. Its ok....if you like the whole lip synching thing.

    But google "Spore" next time

First things first, I think your wife plans to put you in the doghouse:

And second, he found the right Spore. Do a google search for "Sporn", it's apparently causing quite a stir.

On a side note, who the hell woulda thought that pic would be so damn big?

I had some problems following what he was saying and couldn't recall very much of it, but while looking (and listening) to it I felt it was close to the truth - as always.

Yeah I have to agree with the review, Was really looking forward to this game because of how it was going to combine different genres. Its still fun, and has some innovative ideas, just not what it was hyped to be.

The game has a lot to be improved. Ill give you that. It still is one of the best games I've ever played. Storytelling, meets, creature building, meets world and space building. Simply one of the most compelling stories I can tell. I tend to play cell about oh.. 3 hours. Creature is about sheesh, 8? Tribal about a hour and civilization for nigh on 12 hours. The reason being is I take the time to craft charecters. Make movies. Storyboards. I make the meat, spore gives the bones.

Spore is bones. Dont get me wrong. The game needs a mound of meat. Missions in Creature and civ. Manipulation items in creature , tribal and civ. People who want to play the game and just enjoy the objectives wont get much out of it. Mind you I tend to call such people flakes...
