WAR on Laptop ?!

Ok, playing WAR Atm, on my PC, but want to have it working on my laptops aswell.
But after downloading patch, i push play, and it just quits, nothing else happends ( I have no clue what's wrong here )
Then i try my gamer laptop, after patch , i push play, and it keeps saying critical error. I am able to play DAOC , WOW, Spore and other games at pretty good graphics with this one, so i am just clueless to what could be wrong.
If anyone have a clue, please toss me a hint.

my girlfriend plays on a macbook pro and i play on a HP pavillion dv6000. (high resolution nad sometimes full effect but i always have effect for self on)
You will probably find the Video card is not up to standard for the game.
Find this website useful for getting an idea on what causes the games to fail on a machine

In Open Beta, the game would instantly Crash to Desktop (with no warning) if your motherboard audio drivers were not up to date / old / not correctly installed. I suggest you grab some recent drivers from the manufacturer and reinstall.
Not sure about Video, it's not been proven to crash the game like Audio was but give that a go as well, and install the most recent ones.
I'd definitely start with the Audio though and make sure it's the correct driver and correctly installed.
PS I'm in NY on business now with my little Dell 1330 (8400M GS LOOL) but surprisingly the game is quite playable! Low details and res, but it works. Will have to do for two weeks!
Now i installed new Direct X and Graphic drivers , now it just says An error occured -- Warhammer will now terminate..
Omg.. i am so lost here..
Have you tried updating your audio drivers like the poster above you said?

I had this problem also on my desktop
It says critical error and crashes.
When you run the patcher select the option at the bottom which says "perform full file check"
It will check for all the game files
I did that and it fixed the the problm of critical error
Give us some details about your system. The game plays fine on my dell 1720 under Vista ulitmate.
