Since i've been playing Warhammer Age of Reckoning. I have noticed one very strong strong detail, the community. The community in warhammer is very, pardon my blunt stupid. It's like they have no common sense, or education at all. I have leveled from level 1 engineer to 28, and all I have noticed is very dumb people. At level 28 people still dont understand public group, or even how public quests work. While I am not saying the whole community is uneducated or stupid. I am just saying a very large percentage seem to be.

I'm actually talking about the abundance of un-educated players. It's pretty ovious if you have ever actually played Warhammer.
The game was only officially released yesterday...
The head start was only a week ago...
People are still new to the game!
I was in the beta on and off for the last year and I'm learning stuff and seeing things I never saw during the beta

Yes, and I do agree with you strongley. But when you are level 26, and you still havent figured out what some of the basic features are? Perhaps you are just stupid. Now where I might be taking this off track, but I must say I see very different situations from Order and Destruction. Destruction seems to house a younger community. More agile in the ways of video games, and perhaps smarter overall. Where I see Order, a faction for older people. Maybe a little more slow learning to video games? I dont fully know if I am right about this or not. I can say in my experiences order has slower, and or dumber players, than its counter part destruction.
Edit: Agian let me add, I do not mean all order players are dumb. Maybe just a large percent.
There have been many I've had to teach how to from a WB, but for the most part no problems so far.....other than the fact that everyone picks one PQ to stay on rather than experiencing all of them in the chapter. There are some nice encounters to be had if only people would take off the blinders.
Sadly, you can't really do the PQ solo.. so thats why they all stick together.

Yes, and perhaps a strong no. Maybe to you this community is like World of Warcraft, or Everquest, american MMO's. But it's nothing like its over sea competitor Final Fantasy XI, its community is alot more educated and friendly. I see Rune Priests walk right by a Engineer, and or Iron Breaker dieing in a PQ, to get the 100 points from a wagon. Is that how the community is on these so called "epic games"?
If people haven't been using x features and are only power leveling / grinding themselves through PvE and only use the Scenario button and never Open PvP then there's several systems even by lvl 28 that they have no idea about.
Saying that the general warhammer online community is stupid ..... is stupid. You've got some weird experiences on a single server out of dozens. Honestly how much more nitpicking / trolling / flaming are you going to do before you finally just quit and do us all a favor?

Yeah but I and 3 others went and started a WB and then used public channels to get a few more and finished all chapter 2 chaos PQ's in 45 mins. Just because there is open grouping doesn't mean you won't have to use the chat system to find people sometimes.
Well Coyote while i do agree with you that the community is not good I do not agree on you of why the community is bad. First of all i have played the open beta headt start and now launch. The vast majority of players that i have grouped with know what they are doing. Not always right away but they eventually get it. I belive the bad community is due to lack of communicatin. Example in wow when you enter the barren or a main city like org or UC you see people talking all the time. Maybe this is just in my case so i dont want to generalize. Also that thing about asians china more specifically is not accurate. throwing out percentages with out any reliable and accurate sources to back you up is folly. http://www.oecd.org/dataoecd/42/8/39700724.pdf
Look at that then tell me if you can still stand by your statement.
Yeah that's a shame. I've never played a game with a more amazing community than FFXI back when it was popular. Everyone was friendly and helpful it was great. But that's because it was group based so community was important. When people make a game that is "accessable to everyone" by making you have the ability to solo most of it.. then the community will not be as good. Frankly i'd like to see an MMO that requires groups more often than not. It would feel refreshing from this same old format as of late.
I don't mind helping people out in-game...usually you need them, especially in RvR. So being less rude in-game to the "dumb" people would get you a lot farther. If you help them understand everything they are definately more willing to help you out.
I get out all my "dumb" people bashing on here...there seems to be an abundance of less than intelligent posters.

Yep, go ahead and report this one too.
Maybe the people in game don't want to relate with you properly becasause you're an ass.
After reading more of this post.. .. I can better summerize the original post.
"I didn't get healed in a PQ. I'm ignorant"
solution? roll a healing class.

It works. I started an Engie and had maybe 4 runies running around me (lack of iron breaks sux) and wasn't getting any heals. They all wanted to be mages. We were barely able to do PQs and such b/c we kept dying, running back and throwing ourselves into a meat grinder. So I rolled a runie, turned on health bars for all PCs and went to town. You'll notice big time how much more effective the group is with just 1 competent healer. After that I was sold =P
For the sake of comparison, in the beginning the case was the same with SWG. After a few weeks people realized what the game was all about (working together). After that the community came together, wouldn't be surprised if the same happens here.

you powerlevling to lvl 26 already says enough. play the game more, don't race and by more i don't mean more hours.
I actually find the community very nice, helpfull and amusing. had no problems with anybody yet, unlike the virginity demons from hell at AoC.
yeah yeah.. its EVERYONE else not YOU.. haha. Look in the mirror. Level 28? Kick back and enjoy the game. Elder here and there is NO way you can get all the fun stuff .. you missed so much. But yeah.. real stupid people. so far there is no crap in chat.. people help left and right, keep asking if others want to group to do quests. As for PQ's I am one of those people that DONT join some group. Like there (LMAO) some rule. I KNOW what the best rewards will be so I just go for the points sometimes.
And try to remember its just a GAME. So let people do what ever they want.. just like you .. you play the game the way YOU like..so dont be dumb and expect everyone else to do the same boring thing..
