    /agree

Thats one of the major reasons I left WoW, it was alot of fun before expansion, then TBC was released...the old world became obsolete and I had to start forcing myself to play to try and have fun, but was actually feeling more like work because of the giant time sinkl

Playing by yourself or with friends?  If you solo it's going to get boring rediculously fast.  Think of WoW as a MSN gaming app, it's meant to be played socially as a big, fancy, chat client.

Not sure what the wow factor is though, other than it's a giant timesink but when you do get into it, you don't realize how much time you waste.  But yeah, get a guild, talk to people, it's the only way to play.

I personally love/loved TBC. There's so much to do! You level up to 70 quicky through TBC, anyhow. You get to ride a flying mount. Do tons of BG for pvp gear and/or do raids for epic drops. I even love doing dailies to get easy gold and use it for my alts for crafting, ect. Seriously, there's a lot to do! :)

if you don't enjoy it then the game isn't for you.

as some have said.. get into a guild, you know how the game works so theres no real suprise for you on that front so get into a good guild if only for the company. The guild will be doing things running high level dungeons, maybe even raids and you'll want to be part of it so that will spur you forward with renewed vigar... etc

failing that try to get a toon to lvl 55 then roll a DK in wrath ( best starting area EVA )

failing that maybe you just out grew WoW.

Also are you in outlands yet or still in the old world? outlands is where the action is get their ASAP

Dont bother wasting you're time. I canceled my sub just recently because it got boring as hell. And I have a 70 with a good suit of full PvP gear. cant believe I wasted so much time on this worthless game.

there are many others out there just search around and you will find something that really tickles you're fancy. Dont be drawn in again as a cash cow to blizzard.

Yes, playing with friends makes all the difference. If all you are looking at is the gameplay, all MMOs are just a grind, WoW's might be the most polished one, but still a grind.

read yourslef and look how stupid you actually sound. it took you 70 level to realise that, you fail.

What level is your main character in WoW?

With the exception of the Alt levelers people will tell you WoW doesnt start until level 70.

I've stopped playing WoW myself but my reason was due to burn out, six day raid schedules and five maxx level characters.

If you are still low level keep playing through your subscription month before you decide to quit.

Quitting WoW at low level is like quitting Oblivion before you get out of the intro sewer area or quitting Counterstrike before loading up your first map.

    Playing: Nothing

    Looking forward to: Nothing

I dunno, I actually had the most fun leveling for the first time. Running maraudon and not knowing how aggro worked, wiping countless times because the tank was using a two hander. No crowd control, jus everyone beating on something. Fun times, sigh.

Eeek! That's exactly where I quit the first time I quit. The second time I  quit, I managed to steal a horse from the Inn and never came back....

WoW is an OK game but nothing special really.....I never understood why people wanted to play it more than a couple months....Everything is so easy in the game that it just doesnt have any challenge to it......If you played a game that was hardcore at all before WoW then WOW feels like a joke......Alot of people play it because of the gear but to me whats the point in getting great gear if there is no death penalty anyway?? Also the immature community is a major strike against the game.....Almost every guild I was in was full of beggars and braggarts and stupid chat.......

This sounds exactly what happened when I returned about 6 months ago.  I had played WOW about 3 years ago and got my 3 characters to 60 but got totally bored with the raiding aspect.

So I returned about 6 months ago with a friend of mine to try it out.  He actually left after a few weeks but I was still trying to hang in there.  I joined a few guilds but even though they were big they were all level 70's and didn't want to do the lower dungeons because there was nothing in it for them.  I tried my best to level solo but at about level 65 I was stuck.  It would take forever just killing stuff and try as I might I couldn't get groups together at my level within my guild.  I finally just gave up and left the game again.  What really cracked me up was when I mentioned in guild chat that I was leaving and why no one offered to help me level or get a group together, all they were interested in was my 24,000.00 gold.  Everyone thought that since I was leaving I should leave it to the guildbank, or better yet them personally.  I literally lost it and laughed at them.  After months of asking for  help they expected me to just give them all that gold because I was leaving even though they never would ask me to join them or do lower dungeon's etc.  Yeah right, I don't think so.  Maybe if they had helped I would have left them the money but not after being ignored.

I still say that the WOW community is by far the worst that I have ever seen.  No one helps each other unless there's something in it for themselves.  I have been on different servers etc and it was always the same mindset in that game, gimmee, gimmee, gimmee.  I won't even get into the way a new player is treated when asking a question , god forbid you not know how to play the game...I don't miss WOW at all and I doubt I'll ever return.

If you really beleive that WoW is only entertaining as a chat room with graphics then why pay for it at all? You could go and "play" Second Life or any number of other social networking "games" for free without the need to grind for experience or raid for gear. If a game isn't fun to actually play then it simply isn't a very good game. If a chat room is all you use it for, then go find a real chat room to hang out in and don't give any more money to Blizzard.
