The MMORPG Project Entropia is updated to version 6.1, with a plethora of content ranging from a whole new continent, the start of the first real virtual land grab, and a full range of other improvements added. Below is their official press release:
| (Gothenburg, Sweden) - Project Entropia, the rapidly growing virtual universe utilizing a real cash economy, today announces that it is applying the 6.1 version update to the live servers. "The 6.1 update is a massive content upgrade, which would equal the launch of a huge expansion pack, or "Project Entropia II: Amethera", if we were to use traditional box sales terminology", Director of Concept Development Marco Behrmann says. The main features in the update is without a doubt the addition of the new Amethera continent, which is about three times the size of the existing land mass available in Project Entropia making the total landmass available to date some 800 sq km. On the Amethera continent the first ever real virtual land grab will take place, where Project Entropia participants battle for control and taxation right of the available land areas, meaning grand and exciting real-time PvP combat for those involved. Additional content added in the upgrade is a teaching system, a bunch of new creatures and items, dynamic lighting, and much more. K this Lg is ok but What they did whit PE now Whit this VU 6.1 it is a discrase 4 them so i think a lot of PPL will quit becouse of this and i think that they will need to repear there mistake quick or ppl will stop playing like hell and this wouldnt be good for them and they make this game very bad for ppl who doesnt put money in the game so a lot of ppl who r not paying will stop

Complete waste of time now.
Before the update game was at least playable now it isn't
Land grab is ONLY for skilled players NOT anybody as the blurb states.
Ads say download and play for free well forget that you can no longer play for free.
It was hard before now it is impossible, to play be prepared to deposit an minimum of $10 a week, coz $10 a month wont do anything.
This could have been absolutely brilliant but greed on MA's behalf have ruined it with this latest VU that and the refusal of long time players to see any problems.
I am waiting for the next miniupdates to see if the problems are fixed, if not then I leave
Huh? The land grab rules and requirements were stated more than six months ago, and if you failed to understand them, it is your loss.
The new VU adds excitement to the game, that is for sure. To whine about updates is just immature.
I didnt say I didnt understand them so it isnt my loss. I'm not intrested in the land grab anyway.
What I was stating that the adverts for the land grab said that anyone could take part which is a LIE.

Yes there are some very nice things about the vu that i like but overall now I will not be recomending PE to anyone who thinks its free.
I must point out that MA no longer say it is free to play just 'free to join the universe'. Notice no loger free to play.

We appear to be at cross purposes here because now i totally agree with your last post.
I have to revise my opion of the latest vu now having had a longer time to play.
Now i will say that the loot situation is in fact not too bad, about same a sbefore actually (which is not really saying anything
What really sucks now is the speed, it is way too slow. I thought the idea of the slower speed was to reduce bandwidth and reduce lag, well i can say lag is as bad as before.
New lighting effects are really cool tho.
Check out the disco light balls in the bars!
Still do not play this if you cant deposit as you will get bored very easily.
