Are there any sandbox mmo's besides the four I can come up with?

EvE

UO

and Ryzom

Are there anymore?

there's runescape although a lot of people don't like it because of the graphics, and also I don't think SWG is considered a sandbox anymore.

i tried Runescape cause a friend I know has been playing it for like 3 years. I really surprised me cause from screenshots it don't look like much cause of the graphics but actually there is a pretty good game here and the population was staggering I saw people running around like ants. 135 million accounts

    Asherons Call?

    Anarchy Online?

Shadowbane. There are an insane amount of ways to make a character. And guilds build their own cities and siege and destroy other guilds cities. This creates a lot of politics

planetside can be classified as sandbox, its similar to SWG in that it has multiple planets but they are all seamless worlds. In planetside since the players run it in choosing how to wage war, its basically a strategic sandbox war.

Horizons is halfway sandbox.  It does have some linear gameplay, but you can kind of be what you want to be given enough time.

A Tale in the Desert is also sandbox.  But I'm not really sure the status on that game, so I'd say check it out.

Otherwise, not really.  Sadly there aren't many sandbox fans I guess, or just isn't a big enough market.

    Not many indeed.

Darkfall's gonna be sanbox, can't wait for that one to finally come out.

I loved Planetside, but it's no sandbox.

In fact, there's no use even describing it in MMORPG terms.

    Planetside is a combined-arms, objective-based MMOFPS.

There are only 2 TRUE sandboxes that i have seen .. Although im sure there are more.

    1. A Tale In The Desert-  Actually quite fun and a pretty good tutorial and helpful player base.  Only turn off for most is there is no fighting of any kind. PVP AND PVE are both abscent . But if you like crafting than that is the game for you. Free trial for that game as well so go give it a look.

    2. Second life - This game i must admit had me stumped. It appears to be so SANDBOX that unless you find a helpful vet to teach you stuff. You can get lost in the Urban landscape of building on top of building. THe tutorial is very lacking in that game also which makes it really tough to understand and learn. But It's free so give it a try as well.

SWG is not a sandbox game. SO many people make this mistake.. SWG has Minimal Content.  So when a game has minimal content you have to find your own way to do things.. People confuse this with sandbox. ITS NOT. ITS LACK OF CONTENT

Entropia Universe technically, though it's also a gambling racket that should be illegal IMO...

If you consider SWG a sandbox game, then WoW is definately one.
