Forever pirates

Wonder if eventually a guild will own one of those giant quake-level sized ships and never harbor/despawn it. If they constantly have enough people on to defend it and capture other encountered ships, that'd be awesome.  A known ship always out pirating :) would be bounties after it for sure.  Hmm i guess they'd have to send small boats with all of their plundered treasures to some hidden island refuge with a bank

    I am planning to gather a group of players and setting up an village with defence on a suitable island with some strategic slopes (so we have the upper hill to down hill advantage). When the coast is clear, we can go and raid settlements on the main continent and get everything from the stuff they farmed (vegetables, crops) to gold and armour that they may have. Then we burn the village, and return to our secret island base. Each time that we get richer, we can buy more materials to build bigger ships, until we RULE THE OCEANS (we cant rule the lands since ships dont sail on land).

    A good way to do it would be to put into port to get new "Pickup" crewmembers whenever a significant portion of the original crew logs off.

    A good way to do it would be to put into port to get new "Pickup" crewmembers whenever a significant portion of the original crew logs off.

     

    Then kill/loot the ones that don't make the cut :)

    Of course, replacing logged-off crewmembers with random guys is taking a risk - the random guys could just steal your ship!

    Just another reason why FFA PvP and full loot makes everything so much more exciting

    aslong you make sure the core of the crew is loyal this is not a problem, but its like that in every mmo where you need to have some trust in people to be able to move forward in your clan dream.

    except here if one or more tries to rip your clan of you can kill them.

     

    in other games you just take the los and carry on
