The Disciple of Khaine has some great survivability.

However, they're a support healing class.  Disciples have many responsibilities.  They often times end up off-tanking, back up healing, assisting DPS.

The great thing about them is how much their abilities vary.

The main healers for Destruction are the Shaman and the Zealot.  Zealot has some pretty good options for for healing, as they're considered the main healer for Destruction.

The shaman you balance healing with damage in a Teeter-totter which can scale greatly from one side to the other depending on how far your'e willing to focus.  That and goblins have the coolest /special in the game.

    Main Healer - Zealot

    followed by Shaman

    followed by Disciple of Kain

    could you elaborate

    In a nutshell:

Zealots heals mean more in combat than their damage. They can stand back and focus on healing almost primarily.  Especially if you go into the alchemy line.  They are healers first and foremost.  They have the best burst heals in destruction.

Shamans can heal and also have great ranged damage attacks.  Theyre burst and hot heals are not as good as zealots, but they dish out some great damage (possibly one of the best healer classes in the game).  Theyre a hybrid caster/healer.

Disciple of Kain has to focus on themselves and the front line.   Their power is drawn from attacking in melee, which puts them in the front line.  Dont count on them to run to for a quick burst heal.  They can and do heal, but do not get as many heals as shamans or zealots.  They get several debuffs, and more HoT's than the other two.

    Healing

    Zealot>Shaman>DoK

    damage

    DoK>Shaman>Zealot

    order

    healing

    RP>AM>WP

    damage

    WP>AM>RP

    see how it works?

I would say Zealots. As a Warrior-Priest, they are extremely hard to take down solo. With their large instant heals, and their shields, I would say Zealot hands down.

Basically it breaks down to DPS, Zealots do less dps then shamans and dok's so therefore they have the greatest healing potential and a larger variety of healing spells.

Shaman do more caster dps then a zealot and can actually kill people in a decent amount of time so therefore they do less healing then the zealot but still get a good variety of heals.

DoK do even more damage then a shaman so therefore they do slightly less healing then the shaman but its not like paladin gameplay or at least i havent seen them using a 2h weapon.

Warrior priest would be the closest resemblance to a pally because they use 2h :P.

I dont know which healing class is the best but im playing a shaman and im level 15 so far and i really like it.Your heals at the beginning mostly consist of HOTs but you get something like a Holy light later, then a morale ability like Holy shock that you can use when you filled your morale bar,i just got a shield i can throw on people to absord dmg,etc I still have 25 levels to go so ill get more stuff later. You get all kind of spells so you never get bored like when you raid with a paladin. I've been playing a holy pally too in wow for 3 years so its a good change for me since all you can do with a paladin is spam FOL and HL.My only problem with the shaman is that no one play greenskins on my server so i had to switch to chaos areas because i couldnt do Public quests or scenarios in my areas, but i guess its a server problem,...i dont know

I think she will be leaning towards Zealot, thanks for ur help

  • They are all good.  DoK is most like a paladin, but does more damage.  Very good class.  Shaman can do good nuking as well, but they are pure caster.

DoK/WP are not great for spike damage.  They do HoT for the most part, but they are good healers and good fighters.  I can tank a normal Hero with just a WP healing my swordmaster.  But massive spike you need Zelaot/shaman Runepirest/Archmage.

Keep in mind that DoK/WP can cause heal WITH their attacks.  But they are not great at burst.  If they are good at managing their defensive targets and are guarded by a tank they can heal a tank very well.  WP/DoK also buff melee stats with certain attacks.  So it is a good thing to have a tank pair with them.

You will be suprized how well Zealots can DPS.

Rank 1 talent ( Increase dmg by 25% but healing lowerd by 20% )

Zealots can DPS and heal at the same time, think shadow priest. ( At least I hope lol else its re-roll time )

Disciple of Khaine plays the closest to a woW paladin.  But they do not tank nearly as well unless they are in a 1 v 1 or 2 v 1 fight.  If they get focus fired by 3 or more people, it is over.  DoK requires a lot of defense target switching as they fight to heal people.  You will most likely need ot download mods to make healing much easier, like Mouse Hover casting.

Bottom line:  Disciple of Khaine = Ret Paladin.   Big on damage, good with heals, crappy tank, crappy buffs.

Zealot on the other hand can take an absolute beating.  but they are a caster class.  So no fancy melee moves.  However I have seen Zealots take a beating from 5 people and survive.

Bottom line:  Zealot = Dicipline Priest with really nice heals.   Hard to kill, great burst healing, a few great buffs,  ok damage.

    Shaman = Shadow Priest

Well Ive played an Archmage (shaman mirror) and Rune priest (zealot mirror). I enjoy my AM more and i think im more useful then RP. My AM's healing is just a tad less reliable then RP but my burst damage is INCREDIBLE...If u have a good group on vent you can really work with the DPS by them calling out for a 5 point HM spell( forgot the name of the spell somehow) which at lvl 20 does 400 damage a sec (most healers dont have more then 2.8k at that lvl) and raping healers before they know it.

If you wanna go PURE healer go with RP and zealot. Btw i heard from MANY sources RP is much better overall then zealot.

DoK is def closest to Pali but like some 1 else has said get a few aggro on ya and it is hard to survive but 1 on 1 RVR is hard to beat i have not lost a 1 on 1 RVR yet, they have some cool combo's if ya work out which skills run off of each other but i would not use this char as a main Healer  for big groups it is good for small groups or as a 2nd healer for big groups, i have not played a Zealot but i think they are the Designated Main healer for DESTRUCTION.
