Have seen quite a few threads lately, where people that consider rejoining or joining for first time AoC open a thread to ask some questions. Noramally a train (diminishing with the days though as people get more and more aware of that AoC indeed has a good thing going now) of erronous rehashed comments is taking the OP's thread away to a nasty place 
. Nothing wrong about continuing doing that, but I post some links here that people rather can have a look at and comment on if they wish..

They havent fixed much and have caused a large number of new problems. The fix is a semi fix. It fixed it for those originaly having the issue and gave it to those that weren't. So .......

If people want an unbiased view on how the game is going now if your new, just check out these forums. It lets current and past players voice their opinions without Stalinesk authority.

This is untrue, the ones that i have seen get locked or deleted are clearly inflamatory. Even if thier complaint, or feedback is vaild, its the way its posted.
IE: "You devs are stupid", "WTF IS wrong with the devs" , "Themost idioic feature", "My child could do better"

If people would learn to post like a human, the threads would not get locked. Post like a human, with clear and consise feedback, and none of the sideremarks and isuilts (AKA: dont break the forums rules), and they do not get locked.

Stop bashing the game. Vanguard did badly at launch with tons of bugs as well, if the game is picking up and improving, wouldn't it be better for good news to at least be spread without a sea of negativity appearing from jackasses who try to put the game down? Sure, AoC was released as an unfinished product, but at least they are on the right track now and picking up. Why must you try to influence others to not play the game? Does your epeen feel better for putting a game down? I'll give you a simple analogy, you spill a bottle of milk and the milk starts flowing out. You reach out for a rag to clean the mess but someone just stabs a knife into your hand before u can even reach the rag. Heck, at least a chance should be given. Its no use crying over spilt milk, whats important is to clean the mess up.

The game is still not finished, not by a long shot, so now we are simply trying to keep other players from wasting money.
And I don't know what you are talking about 'progress'. In 4 months, Funcom has broken as much as they fixed and added a pvp patch that really did nothing. The only area of the game where they made progress is with the memory leaks, but as far as broken content, it's all still there. This pvp patch isn't really a good thing for new players.. guess what.. now you will get ganked for a reason (the ganker gets exp)... until they implement the criminal system, the pvp patch will make the game worse for new players.

I think relicas was meaning people like you... You have not played AoC after patch 2.0 and still you are more expert than the community posting in the AoC forums that this patch was great... Dude, take a breather... An improvement is none less of an improvement even though you have an axe to grind and want to have go at FC devs (which is alarming in the first place). Well, its two sides of the coin here. Your unhappy because Funcom is not living up to expectations and told lots of lies. An accomodation to players would be good, because players are not paying to beta test and telling lies to them is as good as insulting them (treating them as idiots). Unfortunately none of this is within your control.
Its either you trash the game, prevent new players from joining the game, let the game die and possibly no more AOC. OR. You continue playing the game amidst those lies and bugs and hope Funcom starts to work their asses off the fix the game; possibily unsubscribing if your unsatisfied and come back later. So i presume you went with the first choice and want the game to fail that bad to "help others to save $50". I hope you realise that without money here, they won't even be able to continue developing the game. So you want Funcom to do badly for "revenge" , is that it?
What im trying to say here is that, if your unhappy with the game, just stop subscribing and write a feedback full of hatred to the company (heck, spam them?) for eating your 50 bucks or more. Theres no need to rant about how it sucks;etc, when people are trying to help the game move forward. It would help if you just gave constructive replies about your experience like what could be done. I can't stop people from trashing a game on the internet, but the least i could do is to try to evocate a positive change in mindset here.

People need to make their own minds up - they don't need to be told what to do by some hater with an agenda with a pocketfull of outdated information. Yes people got pissed off at launch and a month after. But only those who currently pay to play can really say what its like currently.
The interested person will ask themselves why does "so and so" continue to bash the game 4 months on, what kind of person is that? Is that the best person to ask for the state of the game?
Simple fact is those that left 3 months ago, simply have no idea what the game is like now, they try to tell you what its like based on old info and stock price. Now thats hilarious and the entertainment the above posted maybe referring to.
All you have to do is read the official forums (which require a subscription) to know that what is being said on these forums mirrors what ' current subscribers' are saying.
1. PVP system is worthless without server mergers
2. Any seige updates they do roll out(heh) will be meaningless without server mergers since there aren't enough players on most servers to support a seige.
3. Please fix raiding/endgame content so we have something to do.
The official forums of current subscribers is even more hostile towards the game then this site.
But yeah.. everyone should make up their own mind by paying $50.. Funcom really would like that. Or better yet, only pay $3 and be duped like everyone else because Tortage is the only finished/fun part of the game. The only thing you are doing by begging people to 'try it out on your own' is telling people to discount the fact that everyone quit the game and to pay money and trust the PR of Funcom.
There is a reason that this game lost most of it's subscribers.. telling new player to ignore that and spend money to find out on their own is just rude.

I am sorry, but if you knew what Funcom did to me and many other people you wouldnt be so happy about that company. If you dont know yet, then read the forum for gods sake. I got scammed, got ignored several times. I hate to say it, but no words can describe the rage and hate towards Funcom.

There is still part 2 of the PvP patch to come, as well as the gem nurf being a temporary solution. Other than that, it’s not as scathing of an issue as you would have hoped it would have been.
That post (the linked one) is also a well thought out critcisim of the game, a good post. So much for you saying all negitive postes are removed.
