i keep having this same problem ive even turned everything to the lowest settings and it still randomly crashes.. game just disappears, it kinda sux.. games awesome thow.
Hint: I have a somewhat simular problem on my pc playing EverQuest especially in laggy zones. Besides turning off the virus scan, firewall etc. you might consider going to task manager to see if the firewall turned it''s self back on (I usually have to turn off the MsSheld.exe. but don't get too carried away messing there you may be calling your tech because of the blue screen). My laptop has no such problems.

yup some new problem
says authentication failed but ths after i have logged in already and selecting a server and its quits
It seems like you log in twice. First to I don't know what, the main server I suppose.
Then you login to the serve.r And for some reason that fails, and for another reason that forces the game to close.
None of these coding practices seem very good. Since it fails.
exact same thing. I play a few hours and it's like somebody pulls the plug and I just drop down to desktop.
I thought at first there was a memory leak in the game, but I'd be amazed if it never showed up during beta.
sounds like it may be your firewall blocking access to the server ports.
or it could be your isp.
if your using a Netgear router than it may be shutting off access to critical ports.
Was my biggest issue till i bought a linksys router.
not using a router, XP SP2, cable modem, Symantec VP, firewall set to low settings for WAR
I tested those, unless my firewall setting is still too active, i hate turning it off, in case i forget to activate it again after playing
and if i surf while playing
deactivated anti virus ,firewall
also opened all ports on the router nothing helped
Rule out that then, good to know.
Now it makes me think memory leak again...
