We got the free trial for VG now, so when you get in game go PVP people! We need fresh blood to spill on sartok.
The PVE servers are boring as I'll get out. What fun is a game when you cant kill stupid raki rangers?

There is more fun to be had PVE in most games. PVP is just people using the same tactic as the AI but pretending they are better. Games like this the PVP is generally boring. For good PVP I would go back to Planetside and actually fight in a game world created solely for PVP.
games made just for PVP are no fun at all IMO. Warhammer is ok but its all about PVP and not much fun. Hey you dont even PVP much on sartok but man its nice to kill anoying people. Keeps ya on your toes.
I used to play on Sartok (quite alot)...just curious...has the population been hurt since the warhammer release?
its not so good. If this trial could just bring 100 people it would breath some life into it again

Now, let me explain why this is the server to choose.
1) Sartok is in many ways the least developed Server. This is a place where you can make your mark on Telon. As a PvP server there has been a far more exciting server history than what you will find on the PvE servers. This history has included big name guilds getting banned and an overall thinning out of the Server population.
2)FOR A CRAFTER THIS SERVER IS BLISS. Unlike the overpopulated PvE server I have my pic when it comes to housing plots. There are also plenty of guild plots still opened. I find that the economy on Sartok has been a bit slow due to low population but it also has room for new markets while on the PvE servers your getting stiff competition from 20 other crafters. TIP: if you craft then keep your adventure level below 6 so that people can not attack you while crafting.
3) When you get tired of the PvE, the crafting, the diplomacy, and those annoying people that steel your named monsters... there is PvP. Lately the server has been quiet and there is less PvP than in the past. However, if you ask in the chat channels for a duel you will definitely find somebody (or a group of somebodies) to fight with. PvP isnt just about being a jerk (though you will sometimes find jerks). PvP is about fighting a person that thinks and changes their tactics as they fight. PvE can never offer this. A computers strategies are not flexible.
4)Its not really very different from the other servers except that you have 1), 2), and 3) available to you.

How long is this trial anyways? Is it just like 1week or is it infinite and you just are there forever?
Free Trial Isle is now a permanent fixture. The trial lasts 14 days from when you start.

The island itself is a part of the gameworld. The devs aren't going to delete it after some person finishes their 14-day trial.

When I play Van, I play on Sartok. The only going against it is the low pop. If, they had the pop of Seradon or Xeth, it would be perfect. Will someone who plays on sartok, let me know what the popualtion is like right now by /who all and let me know what the # is? I'm curious. Thx!
The pop is low on Sartok but it's steadily climbing. Unfortunately /who all now cuts short at a limit of 40 players. The only way to find out is /who all followed by each individual class or level and even that's now slightly screwy with the introduction of /anon which hides class, level and location from a who all or freinds list.
I like the lower pop there. Find the right guild and you're golden. There are a few PVP hotspots at various levels so you can always find somr action. There aren't too many people contesting your content all the time so you can get on and quest without too much fear of constant ganking. Our guild has been growing daily over the last week or so.

Choose Sartok when joining Vanguard. It can be a really fun server if you find the right guild and get involved with the community.
.. did they take out all of the Global Cool Down cheats? I played a druid.. and .. Umm.. yeah.. it was all about who could get the macro button first to win. That's BS. If you want to play on a server when you hit level 8.. you are going to get one shotted.. Very.. much NOT fun. Sorry.
And Yes, I hit max level. I only played one sartok when I played... But the PvP there is a joke. If you thought WoW PvP was bad.. Put it this way.. Sartok PvP is this:
See opponent (if you have invis or soemthing, even better) press macro button.. do 10k damage. Done.
or if it's a tank.. YOU MUST KILL QUICKLY. They have a long bow that 3 shots cloth wearers.. All about GEAR and MACRO'S NOT SKILL. Epic fail in the PvP department.
