We should have a forum section ascribed to just politics. Since well over 80% of every off topic thread has been swamped with political "crap" I think it would be a nice addition to mmorpg.com
This way, if you don't want to see it then you dont have too (I know some of you can say "well you dont like the thread dont open it...but even the thread titles are becoming retarded now).
So...what do you all think?
You guys absolutely adore political posts and wish to leave them here or would like to see off-topic section go back to normal the way they were?
Just curious.
People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

I liked it more when this section of the site was more about joking around and fun rather then politics. Back then people had more of a sense of humor
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
/qft i hear ya. I remember when we used to laugh in the off topic forums. They sure have changed haven't they?
I sent an email to the community manager to see if they will create a sub forum for politics. I'll see what happens.

I don't know if they'll be so inclined. I think it would mean more work for the mods. They'd have to come in check for political content and then decide to move things around. However I do hope it goes through.

to what extent have games to do with politics?

Note to self.Mix some V8 fruit splash,sprite,rum, mix well,crush ice,eat, drink and bee-marry.
The relationship between games and politics is a relationship, constantly changing, evolving. and more and more being regulated.Remember Twisted Sister before congress !!!! We all have to live under the laws these (nitwits) pass!! so we have to be mindful and involved to guarantee that we get the games we so love.or "succumb" to someone else deciding what is good for you.Off Topic.More forums for them to police is not the answer.
Games, the destruction of ones opponent.
Politics, the destruction of ones opponent.
Games are (every-where) and (every-where) is where the government wants to be.So can talking about them be such a bad thing.
Trade in material assumptions for spiritual facts and make permanent progress.
Its only because of the friggin US election that the OT forums are smothered in these threads. I'm starting to miss the relgious threads, wait I didn't just say that...
O_o o_O
It is an election season, so this is going to happen.
In fact, I really started to post in this section because of politics, not in spite of it.

As soon as the elections are over there won't be a need. Political debate is always huge discussion in an elcetion year-- even with people who don't normally care about it.
After it's over nobody cares for four years again then you can rinse and repeat.
Can we get a Sub fourm for this so we have Religon and Politics seperate? just lock all the ones that start in the main off topic.
If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude; greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.
