This has been discussed but I think its an issue that should warrant attention from Mythic.
So I am a fan of war and have been one of the many players who have been leveling in the past week. I pre-ordered the collector's edition the day it was announced. I received my access to close beta, my preview weekend, my headstart, and have yet to receive my in game items along with unique character model. However, what I am really angry about is the small amount of time for the grace period. Warhammer went live on the 18th, my pre-order did not ship till the 20th and is expected to arrive till the 26th. Today is the 22nd and the grace period for those that preorder the standard edition or collector's edition ended today, meaning if you do not have the cd key your account is frozen. Mythic...tsk tsk tsk. You couldn't wait 2-3 weeks to end the grace period? A simple push back would have fixed the hundreds of complaints on warhammeralliance. I hope they learn from this. I do realize that it is only an extra 4 days of waiting IF my shipment is on time, but the problem is that the RIGHT way to handle this certain feature is so simple and obvious. Items can sometimes take up to 2 weeks to ship. Why not take that into account when deciding the time for the grace period? Again, I hope mythic learns from this.

Guess you should of ordered from Amazon or atleast chosen the overnight shipping. I got my pre order the Day of Release from Amazon.
I'd be blaming the person I bought the CE from not the company. They're not responsible for what shipping you choose or how the store plans to ship it out.
when i preorder from gogamer i did not see the overnight shipping
How did your game ship on the 20th? That was Saturday, noone ships on Saturday.
this is useless info but i cant help but vent it out since i need my warCrack

wow kind of sucks you ordered from amazon and yours has atleast shipped I ordered from EA and still has not been ready to ship and I supposedly have overnight shipping if it ever does ship.
I do not know how it shipped on the 20th, but that is what it said on amazon.com and also in an email I received from amazon.
But the point is, the grace period should have been extended.
i totaly agree the avg days for shipping is 5 days, 18th+5 days = 23rd should have been extended at least till tomm.
Hey I heard that the EA store is giving out "short-term" CD keys to people that preordered from them that can be used up to a month for those whose copy of the game is taking longer then expected to arrive, atleast that is what a guildy told me. You might want to check that out. Unfortunately ONLY the EA store is doing this.

You pretty much have to be able to suck dick over the phone to get one I have heard of quite a few people getting them but I have waited for about 3 hours now talked to 3 people and they wouldn't give me one of the keys
I don't quite understand this thread, have new players been locked out until they increase capacity?

Damn that sucks. Try and demand to speak to their supervisor and say that their customer satisfaction is horrible. With luck, you might get your key, or atleast SOME form of compensation. Customers do it ALL the time at my store because my bosses are so afraid of getting a bad customer report.
You do realize that a long grace period allows people to just get head start keys and trial the game at Mythic's expense, right? That's a waste of server load. Your problem is your fault. Lame thread.
lol always some dumbass don't even know if this one is a fanboi its my fault that EA didn't send my game out on time?
Oh I completely understand that people take advantage of the grace period. In fact I argued with a person who had collectors edition keys but only the standard edition copy and I was happy that after the grace period, he was getting his account frozen. BUT the problem is, the grace period was only four days. Items take up to weeks to ship.
JonnyBigBoss, try and understand the issue before you make a post. But since you didn't....

Cool, you played Head Start for free to get a head start. Now you're waiting to recieve the actual game. Sounds all fine and fair to me. Way to be immature kid.
Immature, lame, delusional, etc. You sound like a broken record. No need to flame every single thread that's not 100% pro WAR/Mythic, troll.
Well, this is how things go:
/You/ chose how to have the game shipped, knowing the game would have a grace period after which the account would be frozen. Because you went the cheap route, you now have to wait for the box to arrive after the grace period has expired. This isn't about EA/Gamestop/Amazon/etc. shipping it late, it's because you were too cheap to spring for overnight/2 day air/3 day select/etc.,. The only person you have to blame for this is yourself. Those of us experienced with how this stuff works, because every other game has done it as well, have learned to order the faster methods of shipping. Now, hopefully, you have too.
Well I didn't EXACTLY go the "cheap" route, I went the middle of the rode route. I paid a few extra dollars to get it shipped a week sooner, but not overnight. Shame on me for assuming the grace period would be reasonable. Also Twhint, some people that DID order overnight shipping, specifically from the EA store, still haven't received their copy. So hmmmm, im going to still say that Mythic should have done a better job on this one.
I europe ty to GOA open beta screw up we got +7 more days my acccount is valid till 1st oct without retail keys
too bad mythic doesn't have official forums so that they could actually see how many of their paying customers are being adversely affected.
guess that shows how much mark and folks care about their customers.
oh well, not like EA has a bad rep like SOE or anything, or that this is helping increase that bad rep.
oh wait.
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?
if they had a 2-3 week grace period, why would any one bother to input their cdkeys until the last possible second? Many would try to exploit the system and try to milk as much free game time as they possibly can. This would not be good for business. Plus, I'd imagine it is not their problem who you decided to order from or how much you decided to pay for your shipping priority.
yeah, obviously folks ordering from the EA store, for a EA-Mythic game, is a bad idea.
completely horrible to order the game from the company who makes it.
seriously?

Have you considered threatening them with a credit charge refund.
The game did not come in time and you still can cancel it.
Found it was pretty effective when I talked with some ea customer support in UO a few years ago and they got a lot nicer afterwards.
Hey doods, stop ordering physical medias.
Get your online copies and save the rain forests... and if you don't give a s*** about the climate change, think of getting your online crack in time and having zero need for threads like this.
I ordered mine from EA-store and was playing 6 hours later, how about that and the grace period .

It's absolute gold that there's no official forums.
A small percentage of players actually ever needs them, but they can build a lot of negative publicity.
