Really...who's going to believe Micosoft anymore the next time they announce they're publishing or developing an MMO?

Ensemble and Cryptic not proven enough studios? HALO and Marvel are risky IPs? Is Microsoft a company short on cash?

Seems like someone over there gets off on canceling MMOs. Mythica was cancelled due to "over-crowding" in the market; months before WoW released and we all know that story. True Fantasy Online was cancelled despite how popular it was. Yeesh.

You would think Microsoft and MMOs would go hand in hand.  MMOs require you to have an account which you pay for montlhly.  This is similar to the concept of Microsoft forcing you to activate your copy of Windows after you buy it.  Both concepts are to bleed as much money as possible out of people.

If it looks like WoW people will play it.

Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!

Maybe, maybe the game they were making just sucked?

If they ever did a halo MMO, it better feel like HALO.  Fast action, vehicles, tons of crazy stuff going down.  If they did an MMOFPS of halo like planetside, it would probably rock.

If they made a plodding MMO, they might have offed it on general principle.

    And the crowd goes mild...

Seriously, would anyone get excited about this thing at this point. A cookie cutter MMO to go with an insanely overhyped and altogether average shooter. yip-the-fuck-eee

Those screen shots may be reminiscent of WoW but they are also pre-Alpha Proof of Concept shots. Meaning they were thrown together in a week or so.

But, yeah, if you get excited over a Microsoft produced MMO then you deserve to be disappointed when it is eventually cancelled.

I was actually excited for 5 seconds becuase Halo 3 which I still play as a sit down with friends. When you actually have people screaming next you and stuff halo is actually more about the fun and balance. halo 3 may seem like a normal fps but from a where im standing its fun. when you play Xbox live by yourself tho its kinda boring. Im not a fanboy I respect games enough to know when im enjoying my time. Other than that I keep the game by itself in a corner till my cousins arrive then the fun starts. Im playing currently Soul calibir 4 which is nice. I am waiting on fable 2 and any good mmo which will up the genre maybe in 5-10 years.

to me this seems like a Halo versoin of WoW with some Tabula Rasa mixed in. if this was realeased i would think it would be a free to play game for sale at stores.

    Well, fuck Halo by itself.

Halo as a MMOFPS, ala Planetside, with a Planetside-level of variety for vehicles, weapons, and support specs?  Hell yes.
