  2-3 at least a good month before open beta. perhaps even 1.5-2 months :P.

  Afterall they aint even letting you 'sign up' yet.

  Doesn't matter to me tho i just got accepted into EU beta .

  Well,

  Soon means from "any second now" to "in a month or so".. It all depends what the one who said "soon", mean by "soon".

  Now its up to Blizzard to show us that "they" mean by "soon"..

  All we know is that Blizzard gave us an update on their webpage, its all up to them to make the next step.. so just be patient and wait..

  Remember how long went by after Closed Beta signups ended before Closed Beta actually started? Just because signups are soon dosent mean OB is gonna start the same day. They need time to seed the 2+GB client since alot more than 100k people are gonna be trying OB versus what happened for the stress test. It's probebly gonna be the week or two roughly when the game goes gold and its off getting Duplicated, packaged and shipped to stores.

  Is is not possible that they patches will server side and not client side??? If not they may have come up with a better way to patch then downloading 3 gb everytime.

  The game will be released middle november there is not way they are going to miss the rush for christmas.

  Well the patches arent 3GB. Version 0.10.0 was 635megs and 0.11.0 was 320megs.

  Now yes they could release a few small patches, but big patches usually take 30 days. So if 0.12 and 0.13 are going to be small updates 2-3 weeks appart then that would be fine, but if blizzard is consdering releasing two or more big patches first then OB may not start until december.

  For the game to come out in mid Nov and be on store shelves -It has to "Go Gold" within 2-3 weeks or so - to allow for duplication and shipping. It dosent have to make Mid Nov to sell well for Xmas - It can be Mid Dec and still sell very well. I dont see 2-3 major pacthes in the next 2-3 weeks to make Mid Nov. Blizzard may pull it off but an extra cple weeks isent gonna be anything but beneficial to the product.
