WAR is currently the best MMORPG out on the market.... if you have a good enough computer to set it on full graphics and roll a career that suits your play style. I have the best of both worlds.... and after having played WoW for 4 years, dozens of others before that starting with EQ, I can safely say it is the best MMORPG to date actually. Of course, there are issues, such as bugs, GOA's customer service and weird ass server populations, but these will smooth out over time.
However, I think i may feel this way because i was just so sh*t bored with WoW that any fresh experience is going to be magnificent.... but i hope the feeling doesn't deteriorate. Everything about WAR i love so far. If you haven't given WAR a go, I suggest doing so!
where are the facts? you are just telling opinions.
Well, I use WoW as a benchbark to compare other MMOs.... and comparing WAR to WoW, WAR is just better... in every single way - no exaggeration, just being completely honest as to how i feel. Given this, IMO, WAR is the 2nd most competitive MMO out in the industry (which it is... just based on the 600k sub numbers which haven't fallen, but increased in the last week, unlike AoC)....
250 K - 300K subs as a target. That's the industry standards I was talking about .....
Yeah the reason this is true is because RvR's and PvP games dont get as many players due to PK's. Not everyones sad like some people who just have to do and or get everything then just go and PWN people over and over again.
bb...you played WoW for four (4) years. And you've played WAR for how long? It's probably a little early to say that WAR's the best MMO to date. Once you've reached lvl 40 in WAR and played it for a few months check back in and tell us if you feel the same way.
Having said that - I bought WAR yesterday and played it for about 3 hours. I love my lvl 4 Dwarven Engineer. A gattling gun pet - lol - what a great concept! I really look forward to playing this game over the next month to see if I'll subscribe, but based on my initial impressions, WAR could turn out to be a great game.

How open minded. Call me whatever you like. I followed this game since April 2007. I probably know MORE about it than you will ever know.
Been discussing the thing on warhammeralliance since 15 months and now that’s all you can say when ALL arguments fail.
Even now I am helping you out of the tunnel you have struggled into.
What exactly does likeing WoW more than WAR have to do with the flamey attitude and manner that you conduct yourself on the boards and towards other posters?
Wait nevermind... answered my own question
Waiting for: A skill-based MMO with Freedom and Consequence. Woe to thee, the pierce-ed.

The fact is that nobody knows... but potentially 600k atm. The most important part is that these numbers are increasing, not decreasing like AoC's in the first week. WAR has done better than WoW's numbers at release, and by me comparing WAR to WoW, the former is a lot better.
Um, you do realise your WAR-WoW comparisonm, relatively, is completely silly right? 350k In WoW days pretty much the top population of the best MMO out there at the time. To get an equal accomplishment today WAR would have to be somewhere between 5-10 million at release.
I would settle for 2.2 million certified SOLD in the first day (like TBC did) as a good release.
Not 75 K simultanious users logged in on the first launch day and do a 5x times math to arrive at some 350K potential users.
Keep dreaming. I know the product is NOT good enough for a swap. it doesn't meet the industry standard.
Period. My opinion )
You do realize that we know pheace and yourself are trolls? We just look at your post history....
WAR > WoW in EVERY single way, I'm not even joking or fanboying. WoW gave me fun times... but nothing in comparison to WAR...
Awww here it comes, the childish retort to not having to answer questions or give any substance to your own arguments... lol Grow up

indeed your opinion. Thus far WAR's opening day has far exceeded WoW's, from a tech stand point since the numbers aren't out but im sure those too are better, and as for gameplay wise its a blast. The game from the start was never meant to be a WoW killer or even to surpass it. They designed the game to be number 2 right behind it. Its basically WoW's little brother in a sense if that makes you happy to think of it that way.
As for market standards this game is also ahead of the game. Look at all the games that have come out since WoW's release, Vanguard/AoC, they aren't even remotely close to WAR. Your opinion is completely bias. Not only that but you state zero facts to back up your claim. All I see another 14 year old fanboy who is butt hurt to see a game be competative with WoW. Get over yourself and maybe associate yourself with the opposite sex every now and again.
Oh and for the record i played WoW since release and only quite a few months ago. I'm a big fan of the game and will always be one. I don't think WAR is superior, except for pvp, as they both are a blast and a half to play.
For those you like PVE roll WoW they hands down corner that market in every way, shape, and form. Now if your down for PVP action with decent PVE then WAR's your game. When it comes right down to it the choice is just of personal preferance for each player. Hell, if you got the pocket money i say play both. Get your PVE fix in WoW and jump over to WAR for PVP. They really mesh well that way. Well thats all i gotta say. I've been holding this in for a while. Hope this helps someone who's considering trying this game.

There are no facts in this thread, only opinions.
Dunno who's worse, the troll or the anti troll.
Trolls are the enemy. Kill all trolls!
(I really, really want that troll-slaying tome unlock title. Anyone know what's the quest for getting it?)
Skip'd the other dudes' posts, don't care much for reading haters' opinions and it's really not worth finding those golden jewels who agree with you.
I support the OP's thesis here. They may not be facts, but they can be.
