Top Ten Things that would stop complaining about WAR

In no particular order, but numbered for some inexplicable reason here are the top ten things that Mythic could do to stop 80% of the complains about WAR:

10.  Add the Knight Class back to Empire

9.  Make Crafting more interesting, add smithing for instance. Tie a lot of the resources to the RVR area and even the PVE areas produce more of the basic resources when your side controls it.

8. If a Server has a low population on one side, merge their scenario queue. Example:

Order is LOW and Destruction is High on Server ABC

Order is LOW and Destruction is Medium on Server XYZ

Merge it so that the Order from both servers (as long as they share server types, core, pvp, rp) queue together, if that will speed up the scenario queues. Do this dynamically, so that if the pop goes back up, it doesn't imbalance things.

7. Give us a choice of starting areas. I've rolled almost every class, and I am getting sick of the same area to start in. The quests are very linear initially. Throw me a bone and let me start on some other track.

6. There is no six in this list. Six is evil, please erase it from your mind or you are  a mutant, by the Emperor's will. Chaos controls six.

(Steal it back? Y/N)

5. Elven Males are just flat chested females. You've got to help me feel less androgynous. I just heard Clay AIKEN IS GAY? That is a big shocker. Now I question my own sexuality. Why am I playing a flat chested female in a mmo? yikes.

4.  Beat the Gold Miners at their own game. SELL gold in game for $$.

People will buy it anyway, but no one wants the spam. So go ahead and make it unpleasent for them by banning them. However, They'll just come back and cost you (ACTUAL not virtual) money stopping them again.

Virtual money in this game so far isn't a big deal, so if you make it plentiful and readily available, does it matter anyway if it can be purchased?

You may also just want to contact the owners of the companies of the major ones and let them know they can't make money on your game. They probably don't understand what you are doing and why and won't figure it out unless you tell them.

(Trust me, I've dealt with their customer service and they don't seem to have a lot of common sense, so you will have to clarify it...oh, why was I deailng with them? I was just um...researching...yeah, thats the ticket...researching...I would never, no never buy gold, um....okay, moving on to #3)

3.  DUEL ARENA IN THE NOOB AREAS!

Give us a simple Inn surrounding a small Arena building. Inside that Arena players are Flagged for "PVP" freefor all which means we can attack our own side.

I don't know if that already exists, but it doesn't in the noobie area and I recall seeing Goldshire become the unofficial dueling capital. Create one that looks cool and let us test our mettle against our own kind.

(Thats not really a complaint others are making, it's just a constructive feedback thought)

2.  Show us how to make a friggin macro. I can't figure it out.

(Again, I never read anyone complain about it, but I've long since got bored addressing their whiney complaints about WAR, but I am about to solve almost all of their issues for them in the final list item)

Okay, okay. Thats not really warranting a #2 spot though, so I'll add one other.

Create "Special PVP" for people who want to Gank. These are the ones who want to be 40 and go kill low levels. You queue for "Special PVP"

You get one power, a button called "I WIN".

You face what appear to be other players (but they are computer controlled), and the player can mow them down over and over.

Keep giving them gear that says +100 HP enchant and +500 damage crit, but mark it as "Special PVP" gear (meaning it doesn't actually do anything).

This way they can pretend they are awesome at PVP because they have l33t gear and jump around during combat and they are in an instance somewhere completely away from the rest of us, basically just slaughtering grey monsters in a starter area.

And the #1 thing, that would shut up most people's complaints:

1. Make a special server class besides "Core", "RP" etc, called "Yourgamehere" and it automatically logs you into the game you think WAR should be just like, for instance "World of Warcraft" then you log into the game you think WAR should be more like.

If they want a death penalty and that game has one, it gives it to them.

If they want high elves to look more like night elves, than they do.

That way it's JUST like what the whiner thinks it should be (but then, for those whose concerns cannot be addressed that way, I have one final caveat to item #1 on the list)

Caveat: If your expectations are unrealistic, spastic or simply stupid, it shuts down your computer but first flashes a message "You are the Winner of ALL! You have acheived your goals, you get all the epic loot and are the best. You have accomplished what others cannot."

If they added half of what you suggested I'd complain...alot

btw on the Empire's missing Tank..it was an UNFINISHED crappy class thats why its not in..its nto Scrapped its Delayed / held back.   I wish people would stop fraking complaining about this...they'd complain more if the class was in and it sucked balls.

Crafting was never meant to be important infact creating it the way you suggested would make the gold farmers even MORE happy.   The economy focus is supposed to be minimal so there's no worry over gear, money, etc.

Merging servers would not help infact your case still makes Order heavily under populateda nd puts the Destruction people in a massive queue.

Giving a choice in starting areas is complete abomination of Lore..its not even in WoW if you want to play somewhere else GO to the WARCAMP in Chapter 3 and FLY THERE.

If they sold their own gold I'd be mad as hell its completely unfair to those that truely want to earn what they have.

Elves look like Elves...there is no such thing as a rough n tumble male elf ... get over it.

The classes are not balanced for Dueling.  Its a RvR game not a 1vs1 game.if they added dueling there'd be 1 million posts on this class is OP or this class is GIMPEd etc.

Macros? what sort of macros?  Your supposed to play the game yourself .. if you need macros maybe you need some educational help.

    1. Is the most stupid suggestion I have ever seen in my entire life.

you are certainly welcome to your opinion, but #1 item is intended to say "if you want it to be more like Wow, then the launcher just starts Wow for you, so you can play WoW"

As far as Macros, in the game is a Macro builder. I tried it, but I got a CTD.

I wanted to have a single button that I could click in the right order all my powers for PVE and another for PVP in certain situations. Each click of the button is one more step in the macro chain. Thats faster than moving your mouse around to find the button.  At least, that is how it works in "Wow".

    10) It's coming back in a later update, for free.

    8)  Sounds easier said than done.

    7)  Giving someone the choice to start in the Chaos area as a Dark Elf doesn't really go along with the lore.  If you really hate the starting area, you can always run to the flight master and go somewhere else.

    6) Ok...

    5) Male Elves aren't supposed to look manly.  That's why they're "pretty" so to speak.

    4) Yes, and maybe Mythic can charge people money for pre-made lvl 40 characters. /sarcasm

    3) If you want to duel people from your own faction, go play WoW.

    1) ...

Just sitting there mashing one button wouldn't be boring for you?... What would be the point in playing?

    >7) Giving someone the choice to start in the Chaos area as a Dark Elf

Actual Lore of the Warhammer Fantasy Role Play predicates that people be put on a linear path initially?

    "Go kill three skeletons"

    "no, thats boring."

"Well, if you don't want to, you can run 3 zones from here, and fly to the orc city, and kill three dwarves, instead...naturally, you'll be at least fifth level by the time you run there, just trying to fight all the monsters that agro you."

What I am suggesting is just make it less like a path.

    1. Kill three (this)

    2. Unlock a tome

    3. Go talk to the guy, who tells you to talk to the librarian. (He couldn't tell me "And after you check it, go talk to the librarian, he is also in the Inn where you have to read the book anyway"

    4. Go right click and "use something"

    5. Fire a Gun

    6. Kill 5 of these other things.

and more like all the rest of the game, which is a big zone and you feel like you can go in any direction immediately, or a couple different chaos invasion sites.

I don't buy that "Lore prevents us from coming up with a little variation in the starting areas and giving players choice" when you give them choice later.

No, winning in PVP is actually fun.

If you've played a Warlock in WoW and you didn't use the macro to send your Pet to attack AND kick off your spells initially and were moving your mouse around to the "Attack" button, then down to the spell, you were probably getting "owned".

cleverly thinking about my main macro is a game in and of itself. As I get new powers I modify the macro. Also I have several, one perhaps for AOE/Groups and another ofr PVE and maybe one for casters and another for warrior types (if I want to change my debuff to weakness instead of toughness for instance)

Keeps it all nice and organized. Believe it, there is a Macro function in the UI of WAR, I just don't know how to write the code for it yet.

It's a newbie zone.  It gets new people to the game a chance to learn how to do things.  Not everyone plays MMORPGs, so this very easy starting zone shows you the basics(how to kill things, use siege, and info on the ToK).  You spend like, 5 minutes here anyway, so what's the big deal?

Nice points. But whiners about games will be whiners. Can't do too much about tht fact. I will play war with the hope that mythic stays true to the playerbase and makes the game better and better. Not just by bringing out more content. But content thats worth to play.

You seem hell bent on turning WAR into something else.  Have you considered going back to that something else since you thought it that much better.  This is the way WAR was designed, if you don't like it I'm sure Mythic will get by without your money and bitching.

No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

I'm just curious, when they do bring the Knight back for Empire. Will they nerf the WPs ability to be a tank or will they just get two tanks, one of them being able to heal?
