Druid?

rathmarathma Member UncommonPosts: 3,786

I was wondering if anyone that has had experience with the druid could comment on how they enjoyed him. I still haven't decided what class i want to be, I would like something that is good in PvP, not sure if the druids are or not.

 Could anyone help me out?

I had a lot of fun with a night elf druid during the stress test.  I'm not as interested in PvP, so I really don't know how to answer that part of your question, though.

My Tauren Druid was my favorite character, but as with Moukin I dont do the pvp thing either so I couldn't comment on that.  Of course my reasoning is more of a forced hand because I'm just very very bad at pvp to begin with. image

Anything class is capable in pvp. A lower level druid than me destroyed me because he had this sweet strategy and took on a friend of mine when he was lower than him too. Their shapeshifting allows them to be good at melee, their cat form makes them really good at melee with combos and all. Their druid form is a good healer, decent spells. It is a really fun class, I played one up to level 12 and enjoyed it alot.

Well just on the comment of PVP. You realise that you need to pvp to gain access to titles that allow you to cary epic items and give you access to special shops?

I'll likely end up without epic items then, but as long as I'm having fun its all good.  I dont buy games with the soul purpose of ending up with gizmo's toothpick of the gods, I play them to enjoy myself.  For me that means playing along with a storyline, following quests and discovering new area/skills.  For those that have their eyes set on special items, all the more power to them.  I dont know anything about the epic items right now and likely wont go searching for info because I find it takes away the joy of the game for me when it goes from discovery to land'o'stats.

As said though, most anyone can be good at pvp, it just takes practice, knowing your abilities/weaknesses and working off that.  I just dont tend to practice so someone usually runs up to me and by the time I realise what's going on I'm too far gone to do anything about it.  I'll just have to sharpen my senses a bit more during gameplay when the game is finally released.

Gizmos toothpick of the gods!  Haha!  image

I think I'll be playing on a PvE server at first.  I'm mostly interested in quests and storylines and such as well.  Every game starts to have a slow-down point...if I get a character or two maxed out on the PvE servers and start to want some new action, I'll make a new char on the PvP servers and join in that type of activity.  For me, I think that approach will extend the life of the game for me.

as a side...I recognize that Tauren, Dust  :p  Remember our suicide mission?

I had a tauren druid, got him to level 26 in the stress test.

It was awesome, what a fun class to play indeed.
