My husband and I have played Final Fantasy XI together for about 6 months. Due to time constraints he'll probably be cancelling soon, but it was deifinitely fun! I hope you find alot of couples for your group, I would have loved to find some of the others on FF to hang out with.
Hmm, a girlfriend to play MMO's with me, that's a great idea!
Where do I get one? Do I have to find a normal girl and convert her? If the conversion doesn't work then I'm stuck with a girl nagging me to get off the PC. Can I get one off eBay? Help!

No I don't think that's the case. Seems there are a number of couples here who like to play online games together and I'm looking to be part of that equation. No reason why a couple shouldn't share the things they like to do....including online gaming. I just think there needs to be a time when they stop having their toons kiss each other and actually step away from the keyboard *gasp* and physically kiss. Much nicer sensation. The game will be there when they are done, just as it's there when they get home from work or school.
So.....to the original poster....good luck with your couples guild! And I hope to be able to join it with a partner of my own in the future.
I've heard a lot of people that say finding partners on the internet or in games is strange and shouldn't be the place to look. But for many of us that is better than the alternative. Lets take a quick look at what is out there. There are of course bars...which no matter who you are is just as shady as meeting someone on the internet. You have no idea who they are and many of the people in bars are just looking to get reckless sex. At least over the internet a sensible person can meet a person with the same interests and extend the relationship over a safe and comfortable time period. Most of the predators won't wait around for 6 months or a year. :P Plus over the internet you meet people who share interests. I work many times 7 days a week so someone in my situation wouldn't have too many places to look for companionship. :P
Sorry if I scare or offend anyone.

*nods head in agreement with Dienekes* I soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo understand that!
My Hubby and I play EQ1 together. We have been playing for over 3 yrs together now. I use to play and he would think it was stupid so it almost ruined our relationship. I would argue with him about what the difference is to sit around and watch TV rather than play online games and interacting with others. I chose online gaming. Then I asked him to please try it to see if he liked it rather than just base his opinion on me playing.
We are now soooooo anxious and looking forward to WoW its actually kind of funny. I got into the Beta Stress test so we were both able to try it and its something we can play comfortably together along with other online gaming friends we met in EQ.
But we also know we need to take some time out and just spend it with eachother. We would take one night off a week to just do something together.

Girls that play online games are non-existant like pixie dust or world peace.

I don't discount meeting people in game as being a good way to hook up in general, but Goldenpixie, you were complaining about your boyfriend paying more attention to the game. I was just offering some advice if that is perhaps a pattern you see with guys you meet in games.
If you still want a gamer guy, even guys you meet in the real world can be "taught" to play games. They are more apt to be receptive to this than women, in my opinion... and maybe even pleasantly surprised by it moreso than women are
Digdug rules! lol. In response to aeric: I'd say a good portion of male gamers online are fairly nice. Just so long as you stay away from the really annoying horny 13 year olds that seem to plauge our games. lol

It started that my Girlfriend and I played games together. Now it's my wife and I play together. She never played anything but Yahoo Games before but now we play Eq together. Fun stuff and the quality time is great for our relationship.
