OP there is alot of people on here that are blinded by the new'ness of the game and the only people that will stay in the coming months are people to pissed to quit because of the money they spent.. The game is in horrible shape, I wish I had got into beta because I wouldn't have purchased it. The cut seen looks like crap, and there are so many things wrong with the game its going to fall fast. I am not a fanboi of anything else or this game, but was really hoping this would be it for a long time considering I played DAoC for a few years. Unfortunately I purchased a brick that someday might build a house but right now it just sits there along with the rest of the bricks waiting for the morter. Anyone reading this and on the fence I wouldn't buy this game if I could go back, its needs alot of work. Some top issues are balance, framerate, crafting, people running around naked in scenarios, pq's have completeing issues, chat system is horrid, and to many others to mention or think about at 10 am in the morning. People have to realize that these few people are a HUGE minority and theres no real need to defend anything against these few. If you re having fun , play it and ignore them. Why in the world would you think it necessary to bleat out your opinion like a sick goat in a forum full of people who are playing and enjoying the game in spite of your dislike. Many people don't agree on what they find fun, I don't see thousands of people who enjoy playing WAR leaving in 7 days because the travel between two points didn't take long enough.

The same experience may well happen to me in WAR. Right now I am having fun playing WAR, and nothing you've pointed out in these forums means squat in terms of lessening my enjoyment of the game. A game that replaces a FULL 3D world you can fly over ...with pure and utterly crappy cut scenes of you being tied to a helicopter is a tribute to the downfall this gaming industry is now known for.
It takes at least 12 months to develop a full 3D world you can fly over, land everywhere you want and adventure in..
It takes 2 days to make a loading cut screen like in WAR.
Yes indeed THAT is about the difference between the vast superior quality some offer compared to the work of amateurs trying to do the “same thing”.
And do NOT enter in this discussion War fan boys, because in about EVERY other aspect of WAR this HUGE ugly gap is showing.

OP: Have you actually played the game, or did you just look at someone elses screen while they were playing? Or maybe you watched some vids or screenshots. The mobs are tehr for you to learn to play your class. Read my post about PvEers Loveing PvP RvR. That says it all. This game is fun, but you actually have to play it to at least Level 12 to enjoy it. Um, these guys created DaoC which people are still playing today, way before your beloved WoW. And yes I playe dit for the last 2.5 years, with 2-60 preBC and 2 70 post BC (Diff classes). nobody gives a damn about flying over the world. That was the money maker, tricking you into a long flight somewhere while your sub ticked away! These guys elminated all fo teh "Money-making" crap. You don't have to spend hours looking for some stupid quest area, you don't fly long distances, you don't have to walk on the boat and wait for it to go, etc. In case you didn't realize it WoW made it that way so you would spend hours going somewhere. WAR is about fighting in groups... period the end! Most of the Hardcore BT/MT raiders that I am playing with now actually have commented " wow, we don't have to wait while we fly somewhere"! Mythic did their homework and all of the anoying crap about WoW is taken out!

People aren't rushing to this game "yet" because there is a lot of trepidation out there due to recent relases, AoC being the latest failure that ripped people off. However, every day word of mouth is spreading and those numbers are changing. I know so many people who even played Beta and said nah, I'll pass who are now realizing that they are wrong because this game starts really shine in T3-4 when you are playing in a real guild doing full on Sieges. You need to rethink your retorical statements. You seem to have a high esteem of your "Gaming Critique"... dude you are just one in millions. We have heard your retoric so much on this forum... its the same for evey single game... did you play WoW on release... Taurens had something called Plain Striding instead of a mount because the devs hadn't finished... I almost didn't install it myself and sat staring at it for a half hour thinking man I don't wanna open it and get ripped off like I did with TR and AoC... It’s tasteless, boring and has an incredibly bad design (just look at the server caps which will strangle its own populations in two months time), but mostly it is CHEAP in execution.
I wouldn’t even play it if it were offered free. Still a few days left on my cancelled CE tx to GOA, but I can't even log in anymore. I am too spoiled with the approach of real hi quality and polished games.
And I hope for the sake of the industry the annalists ARE right: - 250 K after three months - because that would even be too much honour.
Premade foxed flypaths do not take all that much effort (as you can see on that other game that has holes in the world), at the same time WoW has loading screens between continents and flying Winterspring -> Tanaris is major pain (yes there are such ridiculous qeusts).
Fyling mounts are great feture - so great Blizzard is removing them for new content (they would erase them if people would not whine) because it destroys PvP and adventuring.
CC does NOT need more programming. In fact knockbacks (as in WAR) are much much worse, so hard WoW lacked knockbacks for years and charge/blink was bugged forever.
Mana is about the most stupid mechanics ever, every free flash game has it. WAR has rage, energy, combo points, it also has morale, essence, waagh, combo stages. If you want to speak about cheap lazy work look what WoW did to death knight runes.
Server caps are temporary low because the game just starts and starting zones would be overloaded. It is 500+500 limit for what would be WoW lvl 1-20 zones, hardly limiting, i would say generous.
I do not see any of your bad design in WAR. In fact all i see are great design choices. If anything is problem it is the same every other game has - the starting levels are bland due to missing skills, the map code lacks some polish leading to pathing problems (see again wow blink bugs, it is the same stuff here).
I really hope in the winter your troll brain freezes a bit and starts working or - worse - Activision stops this stupid viral marketing.
If you want to see cheap and boring, go see reused 4 year old models and recolored gear. Read some Blizzard posts about how they cannot fix seasonal quests because *translating* them is too expensive and not worth it or how expensive it is to paint new skin for years old druid cat model. If you want to see boring and horrible design on top go see shadowbolt spam.
To the OP: It's fine that you don't like the game WAR for whatever reasons you have. Why in the world would you think it necessary to bleat out your opinion like a sick goat in a forum full of people who are playing and enjoying the game in spite of your dislike. Many people don't agree on what they find fun, I don't see thousands of people who enjoy playing WAR leaving in 7 days because the travel between two points didn't take long enough. I suppose this wonderful fly anywhere and land anywhere to do anything in WoW you are talking about is available to a level 1 character? Oh wait, is it reserved for those people who grind their way through 6 months of boredom to finally experience the glory of free to anywhere flight? Before you say I know nothing of WoW, I was plaing WoW since beta, and I had fun playing WoW for 7 months after launch until I gradually found WoW becoming repetitive and boring to me. A good game, but it lost my interest. The same experience may well happen to me in WAR. Actually, if you care to look through my posts, I have agreed with some of the negative contructive comments made about WAR. I do think there is room for improvement within the game design, and have no problem with people who make suggestions about such. I also recognize the difference between a constructive negative comment, and someone trolling to rile fanboys. In my opinion the OP is here to troll because he's even fighting with ProfRed who's pretty well known in this forum for not being a staunch defender of WAR as being the perfect game.
I think people who are constructive in their negative comments are the people pointing out points within the current design that could be polished and improved. The people who are trying to change the game design to a different kind of game, or comparing it to another company's game design decisions are not being generally constructive. These complaints are water under the bridge, and long past the point of reversing in the game, and as such are simply people futilely wishing the WAR product was a different game.
People who are prognosticating about success or failure are also not being constructive in the discussions. These are once again trolls, or fanboys who are expressing their wishes or desires. A certain amount of these are inevitable in any open conversation format, but it doesn't mean they are being productive or useful to the conversation at large. I can say that I hope that WAR does well, because I enjoy playing it. I can not predict how well it will do, and no one else can either. The attempt shows a lack of logic and reasoning on the part of the person makeing predictions like they are some kind great sage, when in fact they are blanketing the community with predictions in the hope they can look like a sage when one actually comes close (the Nostradamus effect).

OP there is alot of people on here that are blinded by the new'ness of the game and the only people that will stay in the coming months are people to pissed to quit because of the money they spent.. The game is in horrible shape, I wish I had got into beta because I wouldn't have purchased it. The cut seen looks like crap, and there are so many things wrong with the game its going to fall fast. I am not a fanboi of anything else or this game, but was really hoping this would be it for a long time considering I played DAoC for a few years. Unfortunately I purchased a brick that someday might build a house but right now it just sits there along with the rest of the bricks waiting for the morter. Anyone reading this and on the fence I wouldn't buy this game if I could go back, its needs alot of work. Some top issues are balance, framerate, crafting, people running around naked in scenarios, pq's have completeing issues, chat system is horrid, and to many others to mention or think about at 10 am in the morning. Good luck if you go against what I have said, you would be better off saving your money or doing something else with it. Fire

OH forgot to add, I wouldn't need to be reporting bugs if mythic would have signed up testers that do just that TEST instead of previewing to see if they want to buy...
Negative is the best feedback in the world, it gets things done and alot of that War needs..Hell there hasn't been an update since the game went live put that on the burner..

As of the 25, when you wrote your idiotic statement, Mythic has had an update just about every day since War went live, and I think 2 or 3 in Normal headstart, and several (5 ~ 10) in just the week / 2 week sof open beta.... sorry man.. but.. you have no clue what you are talking about.
You can go to their herald website and see spam after spam of updates... and how do they do this miraculous update thing? Well, they update, on average, from 3am to about 9 ~ 10 am in the morning (barring emergency updates - which they had ONE today.... amazing, huh... I think only ONE emergency update since launch, rest are just regular (daily) updates for now...)
Right now, they've been updating just about EVERY DAY!!
Hopefully, in about 2 or 3 months, they will go to a 1 time a week or even 1 a month update...

Wow your economic skills are outstanding. Not being boring doesn't sell more copies... It retains the people that are currently playing. Think about it.

And from missing full 3D worlds up to a lot of other missing quality apsects, I can say that WAR doesn't meet the 2008 standards of MMORPG's.

OP: Have you actually played the game, or did you just look at someone elses screen while they were playing? Or maybe you watched some vids or screenshots. The mobs are tehr for you to learn to play your class. Read my post about PvEers Loveing PvP RvR. That says it all. This game is fun, but you actually have to play it to at least Level 12 to enjoy it. Um, these guys created DaoC which people are still playing today, way before your beloved WoW. And yes I playe dit for the last 2.5 years, with 2-60 preBC and 2 70 post BC (Diff classes). nobody gives a damn about flying over the world. That was the money maker, tricking you into a long flight somewhere while your sub ticked away! These guys elminated all fo teh "Money-making" crap. You don't have to spend hours looking for some stupid quest area, you don't fly long distances, you don't have to walk on the boat and wait for it to go, etc. In case you didn't realize it WoW made it that way so you would spend hours going somewhere. WAR is about fighting in groups... period the end! Most of the Hardcore BT/MT raiders that I am playing with now actually have commented " wow, we don't have to wait while we fly somewhere"! Mythic did their homework and all of the anoying crap about WoW is taken out!

People aren't rushing to this game "yet" because there is a lot of trepidation out there due to recent relases, AoC being the latest failure that ripped people off. However, every day word of mouth is spreading and those numbers are changing. I know so many people who even played Beta and said nah, I'll pass who are now realizing that they are wrong because this game starts really shine in T3-4 when you are playing in a real guild doing full on Sieges. You need to rethink your retorical statements. You seem to have a high esteem of your "Gaming Critique"... dude you are just one in millions. We have heard your retoric so much on this forum... its the same for evey single game... did you play WoW on release... Taurens had something called Plain Striding instead of a mount because the devs hadn't finished... I almost didn't install it myself and sat staring at it for a half hour thinking man I don't wanna open it and get ripped off like I did with TR and AoC... Read some Blizzard posts about how they cannot fix seasonal quests because *translating* them is too expensive and not worth it or how expensive it is to paint new skin for years old druid cat model. Tell us that you actually want to discuss this game, and not just be a huge WoW fanboy who is on a mission to troll WAR and spread misinformation and lies about the game. Actually, if you care to look through my posts, I have agreed with some of the negative contructive comments made about WAR. I do think there is room for improvement within the game design, and have no problem with people who make suggestions about such. I also recognize the difference between a constructive negative comment, and someone trolling to rile fanboys. In my opinion the OP is here to troll because he's even fighting with ProfRed who's pretty well known in this forum for not being a staunch defender of WAR as being the perfect game.
I think people who are constructive in their negative comments are the people pointing out points within the current design that could be polished and improved. The people who are trying to change the game design to a different kind of game, or comparing it to another company's game design decisions are not being generally constructive. These complaints are water under the bridge, and long past the point of reversing in the game, and as such are simply people futilely wishing the WAR product was a different game.
People who are prognosticating about success or failure are also not being constructive in the discussions. These are once again trolls, or fanboys who are expressing their wishes or desires. A certain amount of these are inevitable in any open conversation format, but it doesn't mean they are being productive or useful to the conversation at large. I can say that I hope that WAR does well, because I enjoy playing it. I can not predict how well it will do, and no one else can either. The attempt shows a lack of logic and reasoning on the part of the person makeing predictions like they are some kind great sage, when in fact they are blanketing the community with predictions in the hope they can look like a sage when one actually comes close (the Nostradamus effect).

For someone that doesn't hate a game you sure to spew out a lot of bullshit about one. In nine days you manage to get a post count to 188 posts all of them involving this same garbage about WAR. Now either you are mad that you have no game to play or you need to find yourself a job, girlfriend, life, family, or all of the above.

Negative is the best feedback in the world, it gets things done and alot of that War needs..Hell there hasn't been an update since the game went live put that on the burner..

As of the 25, when you wrote your idiotic statement, Mythic has had an update just about every day since War went live, and I think 2 or 3 in Normal headstart, and several (5 ~ 10) in just the week / 2 week sof open beta.... sorry man.. but.. you have no clue what you are talking about.
You can go to their herald website and see spam after spam of updates... and how do they do this miraculous update thing? Well, they update, on average, from 3am to about 9 ~ 10 am in the morning (barring emergency updates - which they had ONE today.... amazing, huh... I think only ONE emergency update since launch, rest are just regular (daily) updates for now...)
Right now, they've been updating just about EVERY DAY!!
Hopefully, in about 2 or 3 months, they will go to a 1 time a week or even 1 a month update...
