I was talking to my guildie, and i asked him to explain what the diff is from the pvp in War to Wow. Im playing WAR right now and i dont see what the big whoop is, i feel like im doing Bgs in WoW non stop just to lvl. What is the big hyped RVR or w/e, isnt it the same as WoW? Isnt WoW RVR then? actually its better there since you actually fight against other servers..... Im not bashing WAR i like the game, but i just dont see the diff to the pvp from this to WoW.

the scenarios which you are playing are in there as an option instead of open world RVR you are choosing to only play scenarios therefore chossing to only see that side.
You wanna see RvR go take open world objectives or get to teir 2 and get involved in a keep seige that is the difference. You could go to a city in WoW and have your arse handed to you or by some sheer stroke of luck kill the city leader but for what purpose ??
At least in war open word RVR contributes to the realms overall and keeps are a good thing to take if ythe other side has none they cant get gear from them
PvP in WoW doesn't at all contribute to the game as a whole.
PvP in WAR affects what you can, and cannot do.

And to expand on his point, suck it up and play on an Open RVR server...that's where the real fun is. World PVP is ALWAYS much more entertaining than that arena/battle ground BS.
Do something besides scenarios. Personally, I wish they'd left out scenarios. The whole point of RvR is open field combat and sieges. Taking areas of the map away from your opponent and openning up new content while depriving your enemy of resources. Scenarios are for the lazy, instant-gratification junkies and a cave to the WOWification of MMOs. They can be fun, but they're too easy to enter (compared to the more meaningful open-field RvR) and take away from the whole meaning of the game. People are constantly fading in and out of PQs and RvR as they enter scenarios. I understand why they included them, but it's my least favorite design choice.

It's explained pretty well in the manual. The scenarios are similar to WoW battlegrounds, although there's already more of them than WoW could ever dream of having. But scenarios are just one part of RvR. Particularly read the sections on open world RvR, keep sieges and city siege.
