I just watched the video on eurogamer http://www.eurogamer.net/tv_video.php?playlist_id=13912
This is just incredible... I played WOW for the 1st two years, tried AOC, and just got Warhammer.
WOW was a fun game until they ruined it with Battleground grinds and x-pacs, AOC was pretty but was no fun to play, Warhammer feels like WOW, I'm trying to get into it, but it just feels like more of the same.
But this Darkfall video just blew me away... The graphics look incredibly fluid at some points. Granted the world looks pretty chunky and bland in some scenes, but as many learned from AOC, graphics mean nothing if there's no game behind them.
One of the best (and most fun) RTS games of all time was Total Anihilation. They graphics were nothing to flip out over but it was just fun as hell to play.
Why isn't this game getting more press?
This game is the future.

Well you sort of answerd your question right there lol. Doesn't realy need press Aventurines letting it speak for itself. They also want you to try it for free before buying it and yes thats at launch not a year or so down the road lol. check out the official forums and sign up for the beta.

Gameplay is a thing of past rail, We need more idiot's wasting there money on new graphics and linear games if we have a future! CEO of a famous almost defunct game once said. This trailer been out awhile AND you have not seen it yet? Well good hunting on WAR or what ever got your attention this week! We will be hear always and waiting for the greatest mmo ever! If it fails I will be the first to say HELLO sunlight and bow to the haters, but I like indie's they always got new ideals and the don't suffer from th pressure of bigger companies!

Can understand this cause in this forum you just get the wrong impression of discussion about DarkFall.
This was sure caused by the company who denies to have a marketing division still. (Only 1 man show is all i know about their marketing)
This leads to a situation that the voyeuristic needs of the "web 2" generation got not satisfied leading to them get angry and become the worst trolls a game can have (without the company have them harmed them in any way till now , they dont had a contract they don't paid a dime) , others more mature people know about the design and value's this game try to implement that is rare and missed during the last years in the MMO market and so they support this game with patience.
The trolls was outnumbering this forum the last years and months and that reflected the quality of discussion here. So the most supporter just tell that and point anyone to www.darkfallonline.com

Indeed I myself have awoken from the dumbed down WoW grind and am awaiting DF... the world Agon reminds me of Dereth! I hope it will bring back some related AC memories!!!

long development time, so lots of sceptics. if beta is good, the game will sell itself. probably won't ever be massively popular because of the full-loot, no safezones, friendly-fire thing, which a lot of people will be too scared to try... but who knows... there are so many people dying for a good PVP MMO...
The game seems amazing... don't worry about the press.... the right people will flock to it's gameplay...
it doesn't have to get 500k subscribers to be succesfull...
The game seems awesome... can't wait to try it...
