I just wanted to thank everyone that made my experience with AC2 memorable. I had a fabulous time, the community was very helpful. A special thanks to Omegaguard, for leveling with me a couple of times.
I blasted away about 50 hours of play time. I'm not sure if I enjoyed hunting or crafting more. Oh well it was a blast. I hope more people get a chance to try it.
Cheers.

Er, what resources did you find to be helpful, and what did you do to attract people's attention in game? I have yet to have a single response from other players on basic questions like how to minimize the client to see the online instructions, and explain just what "pst" stands for and how I'm supposed to do that.
I'm also looking for decent resources, like items and skills databases compiled for new players, stuff like that. Did you find anything like that while playing? I tried the forum on the website and found it singularly unhelpful in that regard. Maybe I've been spoiled by Eve Online, where they devote an entire forum to skills, another to trade, another to making stuff, etc and people put all sorts of links to free utilities and fan forums with even more helpful info. So far, I have yet to find anything comparable for this game. And I would be very appreciative if you (or anyone else for that matter) could point me to those kinds of resources.
Darkness beyond twilight, crimson beyond the blood that flows
Buried beneath the stream of time is where your power grows
I pledge myself to conquer all the foes who stand
Before the power that you bestow
In my unworthy hand
I replied to your other thread on resources.

You didn't look very hard, that is linked right on the front page.
However I will admit that I do not think the Ac2 site is very noob friendly.
