Hello WAR players. I was a closed beta (aka Elder) and open beta player. I also play WoW. Just so you all know, WAR is going to be empty during November, December, and possibly, the whole 1st quarter 2009. Most of the people who are playing WAR now are going to quit on Nov. 13th and won't be back for a few months, if at all. This isn't your fault or the dev's fault, it's just bad timing on EA's part.
Someone needs to get of the all mighty high horse.
As somebody who already beta-tested WotLK, I can say that the expansion was very fresh and very fun for about a month.
After that, the epic setting and new gimmick quests wear off.
Lore-wise, I do have to say, WotLK is a fan's dream.
Also, something that WoW players will definitely be interested in at least will be all of the new game balances... they're seriously re-working a lot of stuff, and it's fun to play with for a while.
Got old for me. Frankly, the biggest reason I played WoW for six years was because all of my rl friends played it, and we formed a close community that was fun... but it slowly spread out, moved around, dissipated (in-game), and now it's not as fun any more without those friends.
Don't think I'll be going back, but certainly if something interesting pops up I bear no ill will towards it.
WAR is just plain more fun at the moment.
Playing: Single-player games Awaiting: Stargate, Star Trek, assuming the burnout has passed Retired: WoW, BC, LotRO, DDO, CoH/V, EVE, WotLK, WAR
Well all i can say is that on Chaos Waste we have keep battles everynight with a shit load of people playing them. the one last night had 100+ fighting at the same time over 1 keep. I have never had this much fun in wow or any mmo. I think people will go play the new xpac and then realize that its just more of the same.

I really don't get these posts slagging this and that,
so what if wow/war/whatever fails, move on to the next one, i for one sub to more than one mmo and play loads of free one's,
for gods sake ppl shut up, and get a life.
Yes, get a life. Do you people realize how lame you are crying over games? LOL
My god. If only some of you had real lives, you wouldn't be here crying over nothing.
