Alright, first you have to take the source to better understand the concept.  This is something that comes from a race of semi-intelligent homicidal spores.  It is both a warcry and their magic.  Magic in the warhammer world is basically something that is everywhere and it is basically the manifestation of that beings will.  So if you take a moronic, crazy little goblin (or an orc in Table top) and give it access to magic that is the crazyness that comes out.  (such as having their god literally step on you.)  It is also a warcry or even an entire offensive campaign.  It is a word of many uses to the greenskins.  Not sure how much i helped but i tried.

Periodically, a powerful Orc Warboss will unite the greenskin tribes into a single swarming mass called

a "Waaagh!", named for the common greenskin battle-cry. In a Waaagh! , the greenskins unite into a stampede of frenzied Orcs, Goblins and Snotlings bent on destroying everything they encounter. Save for pure Chaos itself, there is no force in the Warhammer world as devastating as a Waaagh! set in motion.

You must understand that the only thing keeping Orks from conquering everything is the fact that the cannot stop fighting amongst themselves and it is only with a power Warboss they will actually unite for awhile, until at least they are either beaten back, their enemies are dead, or they get frustrated if it takes too long and resume killing each other.

Feel free to correct me, I only dabble in Fantasy, my main subject is 40k.

I think it's the objective of your past self to make you cringe.

WAAAAGGHH = Rage created through combat. In fact Shamans create WAAAGGGHH by doing damage and then use it to enhance their healing abilities.

    Ar ye mockin' our culter?

I, as represetnatev of da Greenskin Anti Defamiation Leak, find the ashioshation with humie modern pop culter, appealing ... *coughs* appaling!

  • Waaaagh is not so much a noun as a mindset. You could say that it's a word representing the ideals of greenskin culture (what culture greenskins possess anyway). So for an Orc, Waaaagh is everything right and proper about being orky. Hence Waaaagh can mean:

-A huge warhost. Tons of greenskins fighting, very orky.

-A battlecry. Pretty much the only battlecry greenskins need. If orks start shouting Waaaaagh! it means they're about to do some orky stuff. Like fighting.

-The aggressive energy that greenskin shamans tap into to power their spells. Explosions are orky.
